After school today Marlene dragged me to a diner to "meet new people". I really don't want to, but Marlene said that it would be good for me to make some more friends. she was really hoping Uriah would be there. She said that he was going to ask her out, he had left her little hints, but he hadn't yet.
"Come on Tris! I need you to be my wing-woman! My friend Lynn is a total tom-boy prude and my sister's probably going to the "love shack" with her boyfriend Zeke, if you know what I mean." She wiggled her eyebrows but then made a pouty face. "I really need you Tris. And it'll be good for you."
"Fine! just stop with that face!"
"And Four might be there!"
"Ew! I'm still freaked out by that comment he said. He doesn't even know me!" She was now laughing at me. When we got to her car we hopped in and she drove to this so called diner, if you could call it that. The so called diner was sort of like a lumberjack beer house. It was dirty and there were lots of people inside. The burgers were good though. I tried looking past the health code vialations, but it was hard. Me and Marlene were sitting in a booth with Uriah, his brother Zeke, and Zeke's girlfriend Shauna. All of the sudden I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turn around and there stands Four. Figures.

"Could you scoot over? I'm trying to sit with my friends."

"Sure." I really didn't want to start a fight in my new town so I was trying to be coherent with my new found frenemie.

"Wow. Aren't we being civil?" I looked at him and narrowed my eyes.

"At least one of us is." he laughed and then turned to "join" the conversation.
