Chapter 12: The moon is beautiful tonight

Kaylee's POV

"Wake up, Kaylee, wake up" I shut my eyes harder when I felt someone shaking my shoulders.

"Ugh.. It's still early, don't wake me up" I faced the side turning my back to the person.

"But you have to, we have school today" I opened my eyes quickly at the recognition of the person's voice. "Good morning" She greeted sweetly.

I sat up straight, brushed my eyes countless times, checking if this isn't just my illusion playing with me again.

Yes, again. I've had one's like this before. That I would wake up with Saya's beautiful face greeting me, but it turns out to be just an illusion and it's actually my Aunt who's waking me up. I even unconsciously called Saya's name which started a new level of teasing from my aunt and Kate when auntie told her that I called her Saya that morning. I stayed quiet the whole breakfast, thinking deeply why I unconsciously wanted to see the said girl when I wake up in the morning. The last time I checked, these things happen only when you're are so fond of that persons' presence...

"Hey I'm real" She confirmed and laughed. In an instant my memories quickly came back. 'Oh yeah, she slept here last night...'

"G-Good morning" I replied, still stunned.

"We better get ready, we don't wanna be late, right?" She gave a warm smile before backing away to get some things that she'll be needing from the bag that her mom prepared for her last night. 'I won't mind waking up early if her beautiful face is the first thing I'll see in the morning.....' My thoughts paused as I continue staring at the girl, who is busy getting her clothes ready. 'Maybe that's why I unconsciously dreamt about it before?' I shook my head lightly before getting up.

Later on she looked at me as if she's asking if I would want to use the bath first. "Y-You can go in the bath first... I'll just tidy up the room and prepare my stuff too.. maybe?" She smiled then nodded.

"Your aunt left a sticky note to tell us which baths are we gonna use, I just notice it when I was about to wake you up" It's my turn to nod at her before she head out with a towel and a few bottles of what I believe are conditioner and soap in hand.

According to the plan that Auntie wrote on a sticky note that's stuck on my study table, that I believe she did when the both of us are still sleeping, we'll be taking turns in using the shower since Kate is also getting ready for school as well as Auntie to her work. They both will use the bathroom downstairs while Saya and I are free to use the one upstairs. I silently put the cushion I've set up away, bringing my room back to it's normal appearance.

"You can go now" I turned to look at my back just to see Saya wearing only a towel to cover her whole body. I gulped and looked away quickly, shaking my head vigorously, getting rid of the sight I just saw. "Are you okay? Is there something wrong?" She asked, probably because of the way I shook my head.

"I-I'll go to the b-bath now" I said, refusing to look at her before I run out of my room. Now I'm kind of having 2nd thoughts about seeing her in the morning. I shook my head again before entering the bath. 'I've been shaking my head a lot this morning.. wonder if it'll work just fine for today's lessons....'

As long as I'm finished bathing, I put on a thin shirt and short that I usually wear inside my uniform. 'I don't wanna walk into my room with just a towel on.. It's embarrassing!' I finished doing whatever it is that I had to and when I got inside my room, she's already dressed. 'Thank goodness' She had her hair up in a high ponytail with her usual bow in it. "I'll be going out so you can dress freely" She kindly said. I nodded and watched her get out of my room.
