No one's POV
Kaylee woke up early today. It's not a coincidence I assure you, it's just that she's feeling kind of guilty for always being the one waking up late. She quickly got up from bed, fixed her sheets, then walked to the kitchen. Kaylee prepared their breakfast as quiet as she could so she won't wake the others up.
"Someone is early today" Kaylee almost dropped the plate when her aunt suddenly appeared behind her.
"Good morning auntie" She replied, putting the fried rice, bacon, and eggs at the dining table. She also got some milk prepared for her and Kate. " added your extras just the way you wanted it" She said, giving her auntie the coffee she prepared.
Suddenly Kate appeared, shocked that she doesn't need to wake her sister up for breakfast. "Onee-chan (Older Sister/Big sister) is extra today, what'd you dreamed of?"
Kaylee shrugged off the tease then sat on the chair that she claimed hers "Great we're complete, let's eat!"
They talked while eating, as usual, because Yui believed that the atmosphere shouldn't be too intense while eating. It's been 2 weeks since that incident at riverside, and Kaylee hasn't gone outside after it. Kate and her have been learning some Japanese words, that they learned fastly, making them able to handle themselves when Yui gets back to work after her 2 weeks off.
While they're enjoying the meal, Yui suddenly remembered something. She quickly wiped her mouth then spoke up. "Oh I forgot to tell you both, we'll be picking a school for you two today"
"School, nice! Wait wha-" Kaylee almost choked on her food after realizing what her aunt just said.
"Can't wait to check out the uniforms!" Kate interrupts, without even thinking of what's more important other than the uniforms.
Kaylee drank the water on her glass in one shot before answering back. "How are we even gonna keep up with the kids? I mean c'mon the language barrier obviously"
"You'll soon get the hang of Nihongo (Japanese)! You just need the right friends" her aunt replied, continuing her food happily.
"Yeah, as if I'll have one" Kaylee silently hissed, losing the appetite to finish her food.
A few hours later and they're already on their way to the first school, Hanasakigawa Girls' High School. Yui personally suggested 2 schools, because according to her "My past bandmates used to be in these schools when they're in high school, so I guarantee the education!" Kaylee sighed at the statement but Kate took it positively.
While Yui is talking to the school principal, the 2 ladies are given permission to roam around. There was a map-like illustration of the school at the office that caught Kaylee's attention. The school has a school gym, a spacious courtyard, and a few buildings. She continued to observe the picture trying to memorize it, but was suddenly stopped upon realizing that Kate isn't there with her anymore. Worried, Kaylee searched for her and found her at the gym. She got a ball in her hand aiming for the ring.
"Where did you get that?" Kaylee asked curiously.
"mmmm.. somewhere out there... lying alone" Kate replied without giving her older sister a glimpse. Kaylee shook her head in response then walked closer to her.
"Aim it higher" Kaylee commanded, guiding her sister to finally satisfy her want of putting the ball into the loop.
Kate glared at her after a failed attempt. "I'm trying okay!"
"You'll succeed someday Kate, someday" Kaylee laughed, teasing her sister more. Kate, being more pissed, threw the ball straight to her sister's face. Good thing Kaylee's reflexes are good or she would probably be lying at the floor right now, knocked out.
