Today was as normal as any other day, I woke up, got ready and went on my day like any other teenage boy coping with the feeling of losing someone.

Until I got a text from James asking me to come over. It was Saturday and it was boring, nothing was updated about Sasha and I lost hope that she might be already killed, I tried living through it, I tried making myself feel better, but I couldn't. My thoughts blocked my sleep.
Wish you were here Sasha.

When I reached James's house I noticed he looked more hyper than usual. "What's up dude." I said, my tone bored just like my mood.

"Heyy Lucas,  I bought us some food, and we're about to play some video games!" He stated.

He just really forgot that I missed my best friend more than anything and I wanted her back, and that I wasn't in the mood for anything. Not even food. I mean it.

And I was about to call him out on that just when suddenly the door burst open and Amanda came in.

Her blonde hair was a mess, her makeup was smudged, her nose was bleeding and her face was bruised. She was crying hysterically. James had to hold her by the shoulders to stop her from shaking.

"Amanda, what happened, what's wrong? Who hurt you." Asked James, all his attention was on her as he held her and let her cry on his shoulders.

I on the other hand, was too busy drowning in my own thoughts like always. I was thinking of the conversation she had with Adrian, maybe it was somehow connected.

I decided to talk to her about it, that was my only way into helping Sasha.

"Amanda." I yelled her name, surprising her and James. "Tell me about the conversation you had in Starbucks". She looked at me, then at James, she let go of his arms and stepped backwards. "I have some explaining to to do." She said, looking back and forth at me and James.

"Say it." I said, I was growing Impatient. I had nothing to do, my emotions were numb, I was numb, I wanted Sasha back. I needed her back. Even if she was still acting different.

Amanda sat on the couch and positioned for both of us to sit beside her. And so she started explaining.

"So Adrian used to live in the same town as Sasha, H-he liked her." She quickly said and looked at me. "Adrian was the one who killed Sasha's parents, he wanted her to do it herself, but she couldn't, so he locked her in."

"Why her?" I asked, anger seeping into my voice.
"Because he liked her Lucas." She said, then she looked at James and started tearing up.

"James..." she sighed his name then took a deep breath and looked at the floor. "Adrian was the one who told me to ask you out, so I could kill you, I agreed, because I was selfish." I stole a glance at James his jaw was clenched, he was red. He didn't say anything giving the sign to Amanda to continue.

"But I fell for you James,." She continued, " I fell for you I didn't want to leave you, he said I had to kill you but i couldn't, and he hit me like this. James i'm so sorry." Her voice dropped in a whisper.

James looked away from her, "it doesn't matter." He then looked at me.

"We need to find Sasha before it's too late." He said.

Amanda quickly nodded and grabbed her car keys.
