Today was a quite an emotional day, it's been a week since Sasha was gone, her aunt have been interviewed many times, she was crying live on air, that made everyone cry as well.

They made a search party, which consisted of a bunch of teenagers from all around the town, and a lot of adults as well. I decided to help them out and join. James and Amanda were with me.

We'd search all around the town until six, which was perfect since I'd go to Starbucks and see who Amanda was meeting up with.

I was scrolling on my phone when I heard a car beep. I remembered that I needed to got out to the search party with Amanda and James. I quickly grabbed my coat and went outside.

When I reached the car I noticed that Amanda was sitting in the backseat, then James said, "hey man you ready?" I Nodded, I clearly wasn't I was afraid of what we'd find. "Okay" he then said and started driving to the place we were all going to. The woods behind  Amanda's house.

The car was awfully quiet, Amanda and James seemed more quiet than usual, I shrugged it of, they were probably afraid of finding something.

Once we reached the woods which where the search party would start. We were all already freezing the weather outside was colder than we'd expected. James got out of the car first followed by, Amanda and me. We found a lot of adults there and teenagers as well. Most of the town of mistmoor were there.

Once we reached the group a man in his late forties came towards us. He was wearing a white shirt and a red jacket. "You guys are ready?" He asked. We all nodded.

"Okay, I want you to be groups of two." He said. I looked over at James but he was already with Amanda. I felt left out. I looked around me already giving up.

"Hey you." The man said again, I turned my head in his direction. "Follow me." He instructed and so I did.
He paired me up with a boy I didn't quite recognize, he looked around my age, he had dark hair green eyes and was tall his arms hung low beside him he had dark circles around his eyes. "Hey man., i'm Adrian." He said. I didn't reply, the only thing I was aiming for was to find Sasha, not making new friends. But I managed to reply anyways.

"Hi, I'm Lucas." I said in a bored tone.

I've been walking around with Adrian for one 30 minutes trying to find anything that may lead us to where Sasha could be.

The air was still around us, nobody was speaking. It was just silence, the only sounds were our foots crushing the leaves. "You there?" Asked Adrian.

"Yeah."
"Who was she to you."?
"My best friend."
"Oh."
"And you?"
"No one, I just decided I wanted to help."
"..."
"..."

We kept walking in silence until both of our phones went off. Which meant they found something and wanted us in the meeting point immediately.

My heart started beating quickly, i could feel it as well as hear it, I was afraid they found her body, and before I knew it a sob escaped me.

I felt a hand on my shoulder, it was Aidrian, "expect the best bud."
And so we walked to the meeting point direction.

The woods were quiet but we could hear faint noises of screaming. My heartbeat quickened by every step, the air was struggling to get in my lungs.

Once we reached the meeting point, I saw Sasha's aunt crying, a couple of adults surrounding her. I looked to my left and there were Amanda and James. I ran towards them. "What happened? What did they find?" I asked , I still had a million more questions surrounding me.

"They found a bat, and it was bloody, they aren't sure whose blood was it, they'll do a DNA test." Said James. "I'm sorry Lucas."

And then it hit me, she might be gone, I won't see her again, won't feel the warmth of her smile, her hands over mine when I'm struggling, her head on my shoulder when she needs it, reading and rating books, writing stories, singing lyrics out loud in the car.

All of this was gone, in the wind.

"Hey man, take a deep breath." Said James once he realized that I was drowning in my negative thoughts. "Where's Amanda?" I asked him, suddenly remembering my plan to overhear her conversation.

"She went to get some water for us."

Without a second thought, I put my hood down and made my way to StarBucks, it was already seven thirty, so she had to be there.

A lot of people have apologized to me for what happened to Sasha, news spread like wildfire in Mistmoor, and I wished it hadn't.

As I reached the Starbucks cafe I quickly made my way towards the corner, the cafe was wasn't crowded so it was easier for me to find Amanda and the person she was meeting.

I spotted her sitting on the other side, her blonde hair fell below her shoulders, she was dressed like she was going to a party, she was looking at the floor, like she was expecting someone.

I decided that standing here will make me act suspicious so I went to the cashier and ordered Latte, I didn't consume it all since I knew I was going to throw up.

I figured sitting on the other side of the cafe might not help me listen to what Amanda would say, so I changed my seat to the table closest to her, I hid my face below my hood and started sipping my latte.

My heart skips a beat every time the bell in the door jingles, afraid who might show up for Amanda.

Then the bell jingled this time, a boy who was familiar came in. Adrain.

"Hey." He said as he made his way to Amanda, "oh god you're here!" She said and ran up to him to hug him then stopped.

"I have to break up with James." James why? I quickly took out my phone and opened the voice memos app, trying to record everything, which was almost impossible.

"Why?" Asked Adrian.

"I don't know, I just hate him and I don't think I can do the same with him as you did with Sasha."

"So where do we start." Said Aiden as he sat down. "Adrian, did you kill her?" Asked Amanda, the word kill rung something in me although I was already accepting the fact.

"I don't know Amanda, I just hit her in the head she passed out and started bleeding." Bleeding? They were speaking in hushed tones but I could still hear them.

"What do I do Amanda? She couldn't do what I told her to, she let me do her task instead, I got pissed off." Said Adrian.

"Why did you throw the bat then?!" I could tell from her voice that she was mad. Adrain shrugged, "I guess I was scared."

"They'll find us Adrian, they will."

I couldn't believe it, they maybe took Sasha, or maybe it wasn't her. I suddenly felt nauseous and went to the bathroom to throw up.

On my way home, I kept thinking about how can I go see Sasha, they could hurt her even more.

Man all I needed was sleep. I would figure it out tomorrow I thought.

If even there was tomorrow for Sasha.
