Chapter 3: Going to the Doctor, the Beach, and Coming Up With Names

(Christian's P.O.V)

A couple of weeks had gone by and no one knows about Abby's pregnancy except David, Ele, and me. We intend to keep it that way. That is until we feel the time is right to tell the rest of the cast. David, Abby, Ele, and I had convinced Kenny to let the whole cast have the day off, and it worked. Well, we had some help from Trey, Dominic, and Aaron. Today, we were going to the doctor for Abby to get a sonogram or whatever Abby said it's called and then the four of us are heading to Malibu Beach to hang out for the rest of the day. The four of us had just arrived at the doctor's office and walked in.

"Hello, how can I help you," a receptionist asked.
"We're here for an appointment. It should be under the name Abigail Hare," I answered.
"I see. A sonogram. I'll have Dr. Thompson come get you shortly," the receptionist said.

The four of us sat down and waited for the doctor to come. About ten minutes later, the doctor came.

"Now, which one of you is Abigail and which one of you is the father," the woman, who I assumed was Dr. Thompson asked.
"I'm Abigail, but please call me Abby, and he's the father," Abby replied as she pointed to me.
"Okay. Follow me please," Dr. Thompson said as Abby and I got up and followed her to a room.

I don't care what gender the baby is. I just hope the baby is healthy.

"Abby, can you sit up here for me," Dr. Thompson asked.
"Sure," she answered while sitting on the weird-looking chair.
"Now, how old are the two of you," Dr. Thompson asked.
"I'm seventeen, and she's sixteen. She'll be seventeen in two weeks. Also, I'm Christian, by the way," I replied.

"Okay. Abby, I'm going to need you to lift your shirt up a bit so I can put this gel on your stomach. It's going feel a little cold, but it's going to help us see the baby," Dr. Thompson said as Abby did what she was told.

(Abby's P.O.V)

After Dr. Thompson put the gel on my stomach, she used this device that showed Christian and me where the baby was. She also told me that I have been pregnant for a month and that the baby was healthy.

"I'll leave you two alone for a bit while I go print the photo of the sonogram," Dr. Thompson said before leaving the room.

Then, I started crying. I couldn't see the baby. I didn't see it when Dr. Thompson pointed it out to us either.

"Love, what's wrong," Christian asked while wiping away my tears.
"I can't see the baby," I answered.
"See that tiny little gray dot," Christian asked while pointing to the screen.
"Yeah," I replied.
"That's the baby," Christian told me.
"Oh. I'm already a bad mom," I said.
"No, you certainly are not," Christian reassured me.
"Yes, I am. I can't even recognize my own baby," I said before crying again.
"Don't cry. It's okay. I didn't see the baby at first. Don't beat yourself up over this. You're going to be the best mum ever, Abby. I just know it," Christian said.
"You're going to be the best dad ever, Christian," I said as he leaned in to kiss me.

"Here is your photo. You two are good to go. I'll see the two of you in three months to find out the gender," Dr. Thompson said while walking in and handing Christian the photo.
"Actually, we'll be in different places in three months," Christian said.
"What do you mean," Dr. Thompson asked.
"What he means is that I'll be in Kentucky and he'll be in England since we're filming a movie together currently," I answered.
"I see. Well, it was nice meeting both of you. Congratulations on the baby," Dr. Thompson said.
"Thank you," Christian said before helping me up.
