(Alright guys! There will be abuse in this chapter. If you get easily triggered by that, you can leave. I'll understand completely. Whoever stayed, I hope you guys will enjoy it)!
Forest's POV:
It's been two days since I got home from the hospital. Dad didn't seem to notice that I was gone. He has surprisingly left me alone these past few days. People at school would not stop staring at me since word had got out about my suicide attempt in the bathroom. Tucker had apparently gotten suspended from school. Right now, Leela and I were home since I couldn't handle all the stares and whispers about me. I was laying on the bed, completely missing Holden. I told him to go to school with Jack. Holden didn't get suspended since Tucker was the one messing with him. I got off my bed and went downstairs. I heard the door open. I glanced at Leela, who was sitting on the couch. I was instantly terrified. "Shit." Leela whispered. Dad walked in the house and closed the door. He started walking but then immediately stopped. "Who's there?" He asked. He felt me and Leela's presence. We clamped our mouths shut and stood still. "Leela? Forest?" Dad asked. He moved towards the couch. Leela couldn't move or else Dad would know we were home. "Right here Dad." I blurted out. Leela stared at me in shock. I wasn't about to have Leela possibly get hit. "Is Leela here with you?" Dad asked, his voice laced with anger. "Right here Dad." Leela said. "What the fuck are you two doing here?! Why aren't you at school?!" Dad asked. "I didn't feel well." I lied. Dad walked towards me, following the sound of my voice and slapped me.
Leela's POV:
Dad grabbed Forest and threw him to the ground. "Dad stop!" I yelled. He didn't hear me or rather, he wouldn't hear me. He continued to hit and beat Forest. I couldn't just stand there anymore. I grabbed a heavy textbook and hit my dad over the head, knocking him unconscious. I stood there with my eyes widened. "Did I kill him?" I asked. Forest got up and checked his pulse. "You didn't. Thank God." Forest said. We grabbed our father and got him upstairs to his room with much difficulty. "I'm gonna go out. School is ending right now so I wanna meet Holden at the school." Forest said. I nodded. "See you later Forest." I said, hugging him. "See you later." Forest said. We pulled away from the hug and smiled at each other. Forest eventually left the house.
(I hope you guys enjoyed that! Hopefully it wasn't too triggering for you guys. There will be two more chapters left of this story. Stay tuned for that)!
