"Oh McDonald's, why'd you do this to me?"

It had been Clay's idea to do a karaoke night. Zak, Darryl, Vincent, Clay, Geo, Dave, and Jude had all decided to hang out together for a few days. They had had trouble coming up with things to do, and Clay's suggestion was the only one that sounded interesting.

"Why did you serve me cold coffee?"

Darryl and Clay were the ones who wanted it the most; the others really just accepted their fate and ended up enjoying themselves.

"Oh McDonald's, it didn't have to be this way..."

And that was how seven grown men ended up singing their hearts out to Faster. Well, six, really; Vincent mostly sat to the side, recording everything. However, at Darryl's insistence, he had joined in for "Muffin Time."

"Didn't have to be this way."

As the tag played, the group fell into laughter. Zak put down the spoon he'd been holding like a microphone. "Which one's next?"

Jude picked up the phone, saw the title of the next song, and laughed. "You two are gonna like this one!" he said to Zak and Darryl.

The two wore similar faces of confusion. The intro started. Darryl frowned as he tried to figure out which song it was. His eyes widened and he blushed when the lyrics started:

"BadBoyHalo and Skeppy are in lo-"

"NO! NO! NO!" Zak shouted, face bright red. He left the room, still yelling "no" repeatedly.

"Oh my goodness, you guys are bad muffins!" Darryl scolded before leaving as well, ignoring Geo calling after them, "You can't escape! We know your secrets!"

He shut the door to his room behind him and buried his face in the pillow. He wasn't upset because the other youtubers thought they liked each other; they were right about that much. Well, Darryl liked Zak, that is. He had no idea what Zak's feelings were, but he was almost definitely straight. In fact, the reason he was upset was because the others had clearly made Zak uncomfortable. He sighed; he should probably go check on him.

He opened the door and crossed to Zak's room. He knocked and waited for Zak to respond before entering. Zak was sitting on the edge of the bed, facing away from the entrance.

"Hey, Zak..." Darryl shut the door behind him and went to sit next to him. Zak didn't look up. "I'm sorry that our friends are being bad potatoes. You don't need to worry about those fatties, okay?" He smiled slightly, but it faltered as Zak still didn't respond. He gently placed his hand on Zak's back. "I know being shipped makes you feel uncomfortable, and-"

"No- Darryl, that's not-" Zak pushed Darryl's hand away and sighed. "It's not that I'm uncomfortable with it, it's just..." He fidgeted with the strings of his hoodie. "I do like you. In fact, I- I love you."

Darryl's eyes widened slightly and he opened his mouth to respond, but Zak cut him off. "I know you don't feel the same, just please don't hate me." The smaller boy looked away.

"...Zak." Darryl placed his hand on Zak's cheek and turned his head toward him. Zak's eyes met Darryl's for a moment, but he immediately directed his gaze downward. "Zak, please look at me," Darryl insisted. Zak hesitated for a moment before looking up. "...I love you, too," Darryl confessed.

Zak's eyes widened, and he subconsciously moved closer. "Really?"

Darryl also moved closer, smiling. "Really." His eyes flicked downward, to Zak's lips. The two were close enough that the smallest move would result in a kiss. "Can- can I-"

Zak cut him off by making that small move.

Darryl lifted his other hand to the back of Zak's neck. Zak placed one hand on Darryl's waist, the other intertwining with Darryl's brown hair. The kiss was soft and full of love; passionate, but gentle. It felt like coming home.

The two broke apart at the click of a shutter, both of their heads turning to the door. The rest of the group was standing there with guilty looks on their faces. Vincent was frantically trying to turn off the sound on his phone.

"So.. care to tell us what-" Dave started to ask, but Zak interrupted.

"DELETE THAT PHOTO AND GET OUT!" he shouted, face completely red. The group laughed and shut the door. Zak buried his face in his hands, mortified.

Darryl's face was equally bright. "So, uh- does this mean you don't wanna be together?" he asked nervously.

Zak lifted his head and looked at him like he'd grown a second head. "Of course I wanna be together, you idot!" he said before grabbing the front of Darryl's hoodie and pulling him in for their second kiss.
