Requested by Kwoceand (FINALLY THIS TOOK ME WEEKS I'M SO SORRY)

Zak exited the plane, glancing around the airport in search of his best friend. He didn't see him at first, but soon he spotted those familiar green eyes.

"Bad!" he called out, running over excitedly.

Darryl grinned and opened his arms for a hug as Zak approached. In his excitement, the smaller boy leaped into Darryl's arms and wrapped his legs around the man's waist, causing both of them to collapse in a heap on the floor.

Zak was laughing his head off as Darryl struggled to sit up. "Skeppy, you muffin! Why did you do that?"

"I dunno! I was excited to see you!" Zak replied, still giggling. He hadn't moved from on top of Darryl.

"Am I interrupting something?"

Zak and Darryl looked up to see Dave standing next to them with an amused expression.

"Techno! There you are!" Darryl exclaimed. He noticed the look of confusion on Zak's face and explained, "Techno asked to meet us at the airport, since his flight landed just a little bit before yours."

Zak hummed in acknowledgment, giving Dave a dark look. Zak didn't trust him, not one bit. He didn't have any reason not to, but the news that Darryl and Dave had been talking without Zak's knowledge made him upset for some reason.

"Skeppy, can you get off me, please?" Darryl's question caused Zak to snap back to reality.

"Oh yeah- sorry," Zak apologized, scrambling to his feet.

Darryl stood and began chatting with Dave. Zak frowned. Subconsciously, he shifted between Darryl and Dave, emitting a low growl.

Both men wore expressions of confusion. "Dude, what's wrong with you?" Dave asked, lifting his hands in defense and stepping back.

Darryl put his hand on Zak's shoulder. "Skeppy?"

Zak stopped growling and looked back at Darryl.

"Skeppy, he's not gonna hurt me or anything," Darryl said.

Zak hesitated but stepped back, still glaring at Dave.

"We should probably head to the hotel, the others said they'd meet us there, right?" Dave asked.

"Oh yeah! Let's go!"

One uber ride later, the three arrived at their hotel, Zak clinging to Darryl the entire time. They checked into their rooms, dropped their luggage off, and went back down to the lobby to search for the rest of their group.

"Hey guys!" a familiar voice called out.

Vincent, Jacob, Geo, Harvey, and Jude were sitting in a corner of the lobby. Vincent was waving to the three. The two groups joined up, greeting each other. Zak was cheerful, but couldn't help but give the others dark looks whenever they got close to Darryl.

Darryl noticed this and pulled him aside. "Skeppy, is something wrong?"

Zak frowned, confused. "What do you mean?"

"Well, you've always gotten along with our friends, but you're acting really strange today. Kind of agressive and clingy. Almost like a-" Darryl frowned as he spoke, then suddenly his eyes widened in realization.

"What?"

"You know how long ago, there were these half human half dog guards?"

Zak gave him a blank look. Darryl sighed. "Seriously? It was one of the main discussions in history class."

"Dude, I slept through that class. Whatever you're on about, I know nothing about it."

Darryl sighed. "I'll look it up, hang on..." He pulled out his phone and typed something in. "Ah, here! 'The hybrids were a group of humans that had their DNA spliced with that of a dog, causing them to display physical and mental canine characteristics. Nowadays, the physical traits are no longer found, but there remain a select few with the mental traits. These individuals may be unusually protective, playful, or eager to cuddle.'"

Zak frowned. "What are you saying...?"

"I think you might be one of these hybrids, Skeppy."

"Huh..." Zak looked down at himself, contemplating this possibility. It would certainly explain some strange behavior in the past. "...Cool! I mean, it's kind of strange, suddenly finding out I'm probably a dog hybrid, but cool!"

Darryl giggled. "Yeah, it is pretty cool, now that you mention it. But please try to be less protective. I'm flattered that you care about me, but you don't need to be so hostile toward our friends, okay?"

"Okay, I'll try."

Hours later, Darryl was in his hotel room, dealing with some of his duties as the owner of MunchyMC on his laptop. He jumped at the sound of a knock on the door. He opened the door and was immediately rammed into by Zak, giving him a fierce but warm hug.

"Oof- Geppy? What is it?"

"Nothing, just wanted a hug," Zak answered, looking up from Darryl's chest.

"Okay...?" Darryl was confused, but he hugged back anyway.

"What've you been doing?"

"Nothing, just dealing with some things on my server."

"Can I watch you?" Zak asked eagerly.

"Well, it's not very interesting.."

"Pretty please, Bad? I promise I'll be good..." Zak gave him a pleading look.

Darryl sighed. "All right, but like I said, it's pretty boring."

Zak sat down on the bed as Darryl returned to the laptop. Zak started out focused on the computer, but soon found his eyes traveling to Darryl's face. His bright green eyes, his messy brown hair, the way he bit his lip slightly when focused... Without realizing it, Zak began to let out a high-pitched whine.

Darryl gave him a confused look. "Geppy? Are you all right?"

"Uh- yeah! It's nothing, sorry," Zak stammered, face red.

"Okay...?"

Darryl turned back to his computer, and Zak continued staring at him. Fairly soon, he began whining again, causing Darryl to remove his headphones and turn the chair all the way around to face him. "Do you want something?"

"I..." Zak looked away, fidgeting with the sleeves of his hoodie. He mumbled something inaudible.

"What did you say?"

"I said... I wanna kiss you," he admitted.

Darryl's face went red. "Th-then... why don't you?"

Zak immediately got off the bed and pressed his lips to Darryl's. It felt absolutely amazing. As the kiss went on, Zak found himself climbing into Darryl's lap, his legs through the holes of the arm rests. Soon they had to pull apart for air. Darryl and Zak gazed at each other, each with a fond smile on his face.

Zak hugged Darryl, nuzzling his face into the man's chest. "'M gonna sleep here tonight," he mumbled.

Darryl chuckled, gently petting Zak. "All right. Good night, pup." He kissed him on the forehead. "I love you."
