Stay Calm~Reddie

"𝔻𝕠𝕟𝕥 𝕒𝕔𝕥 𝕕𝕦𝕞𝕓, 𝕌𝕣𝕚𝕤"♫

The sun was beaming down at the losers while they were messing around in the water. It wasn't as fun for them as Richie and Mike wasn't there, but they still enjoyed it.

Bill and Bev were splashing each other and repeatedly yelling "okay that's enough," but still carried on. Ben, Stan and Eddie all watched them mess around while talking, although Bill and Bev's loud yelling did interrupt them a lot.

"I thought it would be quieter when i found out Richie weren't meeting today," Stan chuckled. "But somehow, it isn't."

"I feel ya," Ben responded, keeping his eyes on Bev who whipped her red, fiery hair now and then. Ben admired this about her. "At least they're having fun."

Eddie frowned at him. "Why don't you join them?"

"Eh, i didn't know if-"

"Hey Bev! Bill," Eddie yelled. "Can Ben join you guys, he's feeling a bit bored."

Bev smiled happily at him while Bill nodded enthusiastically.

"Of course he can," Bev replied. "Only if he's on my team!" Ben just laughed as he swam over to them both, his cheeks a tint of pink.

Eddie and Stan smiled at Ben who instantly got right into splashing Bill with Bev, his laughter was now overheard from the others.

Eddie looked over to Stan. "You think Bev likes Ben back?"

"Hopefully, he deserves a girl like her."

"Yeah," Eddie quietly responded. "He does."

"What about you? With Myra?"

"What about her?"

Stan just sighed and turned his head round to face Eddie, his curls sprung up and down as he did so. "You two seemed so close, did you like her? Did she like you?"

"Well.. She's really pretty," Eddie started. "And she's really nice, i thought i might've liked her before. But i don't think i like her more than a close friend, i don't see myself.. You know.. Kissing her.."

"You don't see yourself touching her?"

Eddie jerked back. "Ew, don't say it like that!" Stan just laughed and turned back to face the others. His eyes seemed to track each other their movement, like he was trying to figure something out just by staring them down.

"I've took an interest in this girl from my english," Stan randomly spoke. "Her name's Patty, really pretty. She offered to study with me this week and i freaked and said i was busy."

"Stan? Really?" Eddie couldn't help himself but laugh a tiny bit, only to stop once he got a side glare from Stan. "She could've wanted to do more than studying, maybe kiss you or whatever?"

"Kiss me?"

"Yeah?"

Stan laughed sarcastically. "As much as i'd love to kiss her, id rather do it when i know she means something when she does it." Eddie stayed quite while he listened to Stan explain. "Always wanted my first kiss to be meaningful for me and the other person, you know what i mean?"
