Eddie hurried off to Richie's house after his ice cream that he was promised by the losers. To be completely honest, he wasn't in the mood for ice cream. But he ate it quickly anyway, before hurrying off to Richie's house.

Richie was laying comfortably in bed while listening to music on his walkman. It wasn't too loud, but loud enough for Richie to forget his stressed thoughts and just listen to the music. But this was soon interrupted by loud knocks on the door.

His mum was out doing shopping at the time and his dad was at work -he guesses- so he had to turn off his music, drag himself out of his room and hurry downstairs to open the door.

"My mums isn't-" Richie began but stopped himself as he was met with Eddie Kaspbrak standing innocently at his door step. Well not innocent, he looked pissed off. "Why hello Eds! I didn't know you were coming, if i knew then i would've made your mum leave sooner-"

"Shut the fuck up," Eddie scowled. The small boy didn't even ask, he walked past Richie and sat himself comfortably on the sofa.

"Uh- okay then? Get yourself comfortable," Richie snickered as he closed the front door.

"Richie?"

"Hm?"

"Why did you kiss me?"

The question made him almost choked on his own spit. Richie made his to the sofa as well, taking a seat on the other side as Eddie. "Excuse me, Eds?"

"You heard me, dickwad," Eddie quickly replied.

Richie gulped. "I uhh- already told you? The bathroom? Stan? Dare? Ring any bells?"

"You were lying," Eddie scoffed. "Stan told me that he didn't give you any dare at all, so i wanna know why you actually kissed me."

Now, Richie wished he just ignored the knock at the front door and turned up his music. But no, he was stuck in this awkward situation while trying to think of another lie.

I could say that i felt lonely? Nah. I could say that i was drinking with Bev before i went to his and i wasn't in the right mind state to control my actions? Nah. Maybe i could—

"Are you gonna tell me?" Eddie asked, impatiently. "Tell the truth, Rich. I'll know if it isn't."

This made Richie incredibly worried now. "You'll hate me," was what blurted out of Richie's mouth.

"Listen," Eddie sighed. "I won't hate you, i'll hate you if you carry on fucking lying to me, so just tell me."

Richie calmed down a little, he buried his body into the sofa comfortably whereas Eddie sat upright looking over at Richie. Although, the lanky boy kept his eyes down onto his lap.

"I wanted to kiss you?"

"Why?"

Richie let out an awkward chuckle. "You're not making this easy for me, Kaspbrak."

"Neither are you," Eddie shot back. "Just answer the question, why did you want to kiss me?"

"Fuck sake, Eddie," Richie groaned as he threw his head back to lean on the back of the sofa. Eddie admired his perfectly formed jawline at the time. "You already know why, you're just embarrassing me."

"Just tell me," Richie softly spoke, Richie could swear that Eddie was moving closer to him.

Richie took one glance at Eddie and saw his two eyes glaring him down, waiting for an answer. But all he got was Richie trying to avoid answering.

"Stop acting dumb," Richie spit.

"Oh my god," Eddie sighed loudly. "Just fucking tell me—"

"Because i fucking love this straight boy who's obsessed with this really pretty girl," Richie spoke loudly and harshly. "And i couldn't fucking help myself and now i wish i could've stopped myself because now i'm a fool, now i'm just some kind of queer you this straight boy!"

Richie didn't look over to Eddie, but he already knew that he would've sat their with his mouth open and his eyes wide. His breath getting slightly out of control after hearing Richie's words, he got ready for Eddie to throw some homophobic slurs at him. But he didn't..

"Oh and if you wanted to carry on acting dumb," Richie quickly added. "You're the straight boy in this situation, Myra is the really pretty girl."

Richie still wouldn't make eye contact with Eddie, even when he saw the small boy get off the couch and move himself over to Richie. It was only when Eddie was standing in front of Richie's knees that he made eye contact.

He saw Eddie's eyes looking down at him in admiration, not anger. He saw Eddie nervously playing with his tee and his leg shaking slightly, but he made sure his eyes went back up to Eddie's face. And he was glad, because Eddie's bright pink cheeks and his slightly formed smile made him admire him in awe.

"Rich," Eddie whispered, almost too quiet that Richie could hear him.

"Hm," he hummed in response.

Eddie bent down a little, his face becoming closer to Richie's. It soon stopped where their noses were just slightly brushing each other. Richie could smell mint faintly in Eddie's breath.

"I'm glad you couldn't of stopped yourself," Eddie whispered. And that was it, Eddie leaned in to close the gap between their faces.

Eddie's lips once again felt soft, and their felt right to be connected with his own. It felt right for their lips to move in sync.

It felt right for them to be kissing like this.

The kiss lasted about 10 seconds ,which was a soft and very pleasant kiss, until Eddie pulled away slowly. He kept his head close tho, their forehead leaning against each other.

"Why didn't you kiss me earlier?"

Richie didn't reply straight away. He was still trying to catch up with his breath after that amazing kiss. "Didn't think you felt the same," Richie managed to breath out quietly.

Eddie giggled quietly before he pecked Richie quickly. "I love you too, idiot."

And that was all Richie had to hear before his heart melted, and his head obviously moving in once again to connect his lips with Eddie.

Eddie loves me back.. I love Eddie and he loves me back, he feels the same.. I can kiss him without hesitation. I can cuddle him and lay with him without any of us worrying about our skins brushing each other. We can be a thing! Me and Eds. Eds and me. I can have a thing with Eddie.

All these thoughts stayed lingering in the back of Richie's head while he continued to softly kiss Eddie, the small boy sitting comfortably on Richie's lap.

Screw the notebook, Richie thought to himself, still holding Eddie on his lap while their soft lips moved in perfect sync. Maybe one day he can read it and understand how much i love this boy, maybe one day.

Not just yet.

Right now, i'll appreciate being able to call him mine.
