After a long day at school, Richie was now at home while reading through his recent pages of his notebook.

All day, he had to spend boring hours in his boring lessons. He did a lot of daydreaming, making jokes which did in fact receive laughter from the other students. Although, the day seemed to go on for ages for him. It was probably because he was excited for the party, he hasn't gone to a real one with drinks and drugs.

"I'm home, mum," Richie bellowed as he walked into his house, carelessly dropping his school bag onto the floor.

"Hey Richie," Maggie called back from the kitchen. "How was school?"

"It was good. Can i stay round Bill's tonight?"

"You never really ask me that Richie, you normally just go."

"Because you're not home." Richie shrugged. He looked over and saw Maggie look over to him for the first time since he got home. She shot him an apologetic smile and nodded.

"You can go dear."

"Thanks," was all Richie said before he rushed up stairs and began to get ready. It was only 3:30 and the party started at 7:00 but he still needed to have a shower.

Throughout these hours, Richie has been spending time on his appearances for once. He took a shower, sorted out his messy curls, had a quick lunch with his mum, and then went back upstairs to adventure through his closet.

While Richie was searching for a pair of clothes, he looked over to the clock. It read 5:45. Eddie was supposed to be here at 6.

"Fuck," Richie mumbled to himself as he desperately searched for a top which would go well with his black skinny jeans. It wasn't his normal every-day outfit but he was going to a party, of course he had to look nice.

*knock knock*

"Come in," Richie yelled while his head was still buried into his closet filled with clothes. He heard the door creek open and there stop Eddie Kaspbrak, wearing the same clothes from school.

"Edsss," Richie greeted as he stepped away form his messy closet. "You're wearing that?"

"Wha- no!" Eddie scrambled to pass a plastic bag to Richie. "I need you to tell me which outfit looks better, for me?" Richie looked hesitant but once he took a look at Eddie's puppy eyes, he instantly emptied the bag of clothes onto his bed.

There was a pair of light brown shorts, a plain white tee, a pair of dark blue jeans, and then a black jacket.

"Okay so i didn't know if the dark blue jeans would look better with the plain white shirt or the shorts," Eddie explained in one breath. "And i wasn't sure if the jacket would go well, what do you think?"

Richie smirked at him and then took one last look at the vary of clothes on his bed. "The shorts and the white tee, no jacket," he simply replied. He chucked the pair of clothes at the boy before walking back over to his closet to continue finding a top.

"I didn't know if shorts were a good choice to wear at a party," Eddie sighed as he walked over to Richie with the clothes in his hands.

"It's not like you're going on a date."

"I know but-"

"Eds, just put them on," Richie cut in. "Plus, you look good in shorts."

Eddie sighed in defeat before going to the bathroom to change, he didn't hate the outfit. He liked how the clothes went together, although he still felt a little insecure. Richie did try to tell him he looked good.

"You look nice," Eddie kindly spoke once Richie left the bathroom. He was wearing his skinny black jeans with just a white tee, a jacket worn over.

"Thanks Eds," the boy replied with a smile. "We need to get going though, we don't wanna be late to the party."

The two boys left while Richie's mum was up in her bedroom, she would've been suspicious if she saw that Richie was wearing that to Bill's house.

While the two of them peacefully trodded along to the party, Richie broke the silence between the two. "Why were you so desperate to look good tonight?"

"Huh?"

"You kept asking me if you looked alright. Is there someone you're trying to impress?"

Eddie thought for a moment. "No, i just want to look nice to my first party."

"You sure it has nothing to do with Myra?"

"Myra? Why would i be trying to look good for her," Eddie asked while stopping in his tracks. He turned to face Richie with his eyebrows furrowed.

"You two seem close," Richie shrugged as he began to walk again, Eddie hurried to catch up.

"I wasn't trying to look good for her," Eddie firmly spoke. Richie just nodded and the two of them went back to silence. Although, the silence didn't last long. Once they got to the same road as Gretta's house, they could hear the faint noice of screaming teenagers and loud music from afar.

As they got closer and closer, the voices became recognisable. Some of the voices were from random teens but some were from the losers, they were all stood outside the house. Richie guessed they were waiting for the two of them to show up before entering the crowded house.

"Huh-hey guys," Bill greeted once Richie and Eddie were close enough. "Where were y-yuh-you guys?"

"What do you mean? We're not late," Eddie questioned.

"Ignore him," Mike cut in. "He's just stressed." Richie and Eddie nodded.

"Where's red head and Benny?"

"They already went in," Stan replied bluntly. "Probably got bored for waiting for your slow asses."

"Well obviously you didn't get bored," Richie shot back with a grin. The whole group took a look around at the house in front of them, their eyes hurting from a flashing light coming from inside.

"Hey Eddie," Myra greeted from behind Bill, Stan and Mike.

"Hey," Eddie smiled back. "You look nice."

"Thank you," Myra replied with a kind smile, dimples appearing on her face. Suddenly, Richie turned his face to look at her. Not a friendly smile on his face, more of a smug look.

"Aren't you going to say he looks good too?" Richie asked. He received a glare from the small boy next to him, he just ignored it and turned to face the other three.

"Let's go inside then," Stan sighed. "I'd rather not spend my time out here for the 3 hours." The group just nodded in agreement and made their way into the house. Their eyes immediately landing on bottles of beer and alchohol, rubbish littered over the floor, drunk teenagers dancing, and a few sober kids sitting in the corner.

"Let's start p-puh-party started."
