Nobody's pov
The chuckle ran throughout the hallway, overpowering any other noise there. Miles stood his ground while y/n was on the floor crying her eyes out.
"Go away" Miles said. Y/n watched with teary eyes. It just came to her mind that Flora. "Flora's gone..." Y/n said quietly. The ghost was gone too...
Your pov
I got up slowly and walked along side Miles down the hall. "Where do you think she's gone?" I asked. "She's probably gone to her room or like with your mom" He said scratching his neck afterwards.
"You ok?" I ask. He looked at me and down at the floor before saying "yes". "You sure?" I said, not convinced at all. "YES! STOP ASKING ME IF I'M OK!" He yelled.
I flinched at his outburst of anger and looked down. My eyes stung and I wiped my eyes quickly. "Sorry..." I whispered before walking quickly away, trying to avoid him.
"Y/n!" He shouted before I turned the corner and walked to my room. I locked the door and sat down on the bed hugging a pillow.
Miles' pov
I sighed before walking back to the living room. Like I said, flora was sat on the floor with her dolls while Kate and Mrs. Grose were making something in the kitchen.
I sat on the couch looking at my feet. "Everything ok?" Kate asked sitting next to me. I shook my head and continued to look down. "I don't know what I can do..." I said, finally replying.
"About what?" She asked. "About everything! I CAN'T DO ANYTHING RIGHT ANYMORE AND I FEEL LIKE EVERYBODY HATES ME!" I yelled.
Kate flinched and sighed. "Nobody hates you Miles" she said calmly. "Y/n does for sure" I mumbled. "Why would that be?" "I keep yelling at her" "Do you mean it?" "No" "Then go and apologize!"
I sighed and shake my head. "she won't want to see me. I've hurt her top much. Just like everybody else" I mumbled before getting up and walking out.
I walked down the hallway and out the front door. There's a river just down here, my alone place...
Nobody's pov
The two of them, separated by anger, but bonded by fear. Just as they were warming up to each other the connection broke and fell apart again.
Miles by the river, y/n locked in her room. Both regretting descicions, both wishing they did something different.
Where did they go wrong? What made them hate each other so much? Maybe they just didn't get along. Or maybe there's something else they want to push away.
Your pov
I hugged the pillow crying, the sun setting upon my face. He hurt me yes, but that doesn't mean I love him any less.
I love him still, even if he yelled at me. I love him more, the deeper I know him. Because the more I see a scared boy who has no way out.
I got up and closed the curtains and laid back down on my bed. I didn't want any dinner. Or anything really. He couldn't help me, and it's clear I can't help him.
Miles' pov
I sat on the bench next to the river, watching the water run past me. The moon light reflected onto the water, making it shine and glisten.
"Why do I have to hurt her so much..." I muttered. The world grew dark around me, but the light from the moon still shone brightly.
It's one of my favourite things to see, the moon. Mysterious, unknown, dark and bright.
I took a deep breath and stood up from where I was. The shadows cast by the trees in the dark looked menacing and evil, but then everything in this house is evil.
"I hurt everybody..." I walked into the house and up the stairs to my room. I closed the door and locked it, flopping onto my "bed" before falling asleep.
"I love you too..."
