Chapter Five

Brielle looked at the waitress who had a shocked look on her face.
"I'm sorry," Brielle apologized. Then she looked at David and said, "come on. Let's go find Adam and Aurora."
David smiled and Brielle picked him up. Next, she tipped the waitress and she went out. She looked around and she went left and started looking for Adam and his daughter.

She searched all over town with no sign of Adam anywhere. "Where could he have gone?" Brielle wondered as she set David down. They were at the edge of the woods.
David held his mom's hand and he looked around. A smile spread across his face as he saw the people his mom was looking for near the woods.
"Mommy look over there!" David said.
He looked at his mom who looked in the direction that he was pointing at. His mom glanced at him, picked David up, and they walked over to Adam.

"Aurora, you're too young to understand why AnnMarie left," Adam told his daughter who was still mad at him.
"No I'm not!" She said.
Adam sighed heavily.
"Sweetie, I don't want to keep arguing with you," Adam said, "I'll tell you this: your mother wasn't right for me. Now let's go find Brielle and David and we can go home to change your pants. That must be uncomfortable."

Aurora nodded her head in understanding and she followed her dad. While they headed towards Brielle, Aurora wondered why her mom wasn't right for her dad. "Did AnnMarie not want to be with daddy anymore?" She wondered.
But deep inside, Aurora wanted her mom back. She was brought out of her thoughts when Brielle asked,
"Hey Aurora. You alright?"
She looked at her (Brielle) and Aurora shook her head 'yes.' Aurora saw Brielle smile. She looked at her dad and asked,
"Can we go home?"

Adam looked at his daughter and he smiled.
"Yeah," he replied. Then he looked at Brielle and asked, "wanna come?"
"Sure. I'd love to see where the magic happens," Brielle said. Then her face went red and she added, "I...I meant your music. Where you music is made. Not...gosh I'm sorry that I'm so awkward."
Adam placed his hand on her shoulder and smiled at her in a reassuring manner. He knew what she meant. Brielle forced a smile.
"I guess we should get going since our children are going home without us," Brielle said.

Adam looked to his left and he didn't see Aurora. He glanced behind Brielle and he saw her and David walking.
"Well then let's go after our kids," Adam said.
Then he and Brielle ran to them. Brielle scooped David up in her arms and Adam did the same with Aurora. Adam put Aurora on his shoulders and the four of them walked towards Adam's house.
