Adam glared at AnnMarie. He had to choose either Brielle and David or Aurora? "That's not fair!"Adam thought to himself. Then Adam started thinking about how he thought his daughter was dead. He didn't even give it a second thought to go up and check on her. Adam looked at his daughter who seemed happy with Ann holding her but every time she looked at him, Aurora would instantly look away.
He looked back and forth from Brielle and his daughter. He realized if he chose Brielle, he doesn't know what her past was like or if she even wanted to marry him. Adam also knew if Aurora stayed here with Brielle, he may hurt his daughter worse than before. He couldn't risk it.

Adam glanced at AnnMarie who looked impatient. She had told Adam to follow his heart....and his heart told him who to choose. He knew he'd never forgive himself for what he was going to say.
"I choose Brielle," Adam said with his voice breaking, "y-you keep Aurora."
AnnMarie smiled triumphantly and what happened next made Adam even more upset. His daughter came up to him and Adam picked her up. He smiled then frowned when Aurora spit in his face and she started hitting him. Adam placed his little princess down and he stared at her in shock. He watched as she went back to AnnMarie and she smiled and pretended what just happened didn't happen. Next, Aurora went out with her mother....never to be seen again by Adam.

He stood there motionless.
"Adam. Let's go sit down and-"
"And what Brielle?" Adam said angrily, "we're not going to talk about this!"
Brielle placed her hand on Adam's arm but he got it off.
"Leave me alone, please," Adam asked calmly.
"Why?"
Now Adam's anger returned. He started yelling at Brielle. Adam stopped yelling when Brielle slapped him in the face. Adam fought back the urge to strike Brielle and he cussed at her. A look of shock was plastered on her face.
"Fine. I'll leave you alone," Brielle said as she picked up David.
Then Brielle and David walked out.

Adam stood there taking in what happened. Suddenly, depression overwhelmed Adam and he ran upstairs to his room. He went in, locked the door, and he flung himself onto his bed. Adam curled up unit a ball and he burst into tears. Adam realized he had lost his daughter and he fought with Brielle after spending all day together which seemed like a life time. But he needed space to think about what happened and he realized that he didn't deserve to be loved by anyone. Adam figured that he'd grow old and die alone.

Then Adam started thinking about his daughter and the time Aurora was two. He used to call her his little princess and they would sing songs together. Just the three of them, Adam AnnMarie and their daughter, like a normal family. Those were the good years. Now his Princess Aurora was gone forever. Adam remembered that his daughter spit in his face and she hit him. Like he did, minus the spitting part. Right then and there Adam decided it was for the best that she (Aurora) was out of Adam's life forever.
