My heart sank. Loud bangs and crashes echoed through out the church. Then silence. Nothing could be heard. Not even the mice were scurrying across the wooden floor. 'They couldn't have taken Craig, could they?'

The gloved hand was removed from my mouth, along with the one wrapped around my waist. Allowing me to move freely. I didn't waste anytime. My feet carried me up the old wooden stairs and into the main area. The old benches were partially destroyed. Pictures and crosses, tossed carelessly across the floor. It looked like a storm had moved through here.

I searched endlessly for my missing friend. Occasionally calling his name as a desperate attempt. From the Corner of my eyes I saw the young butler. Just watching, as if waiting for something. No emotion was shown on his face. But even his eyes that once showed humour were replaced by nothing. I stopped my search and glared at him. He must know something.

"You know something about this. Don't you." I cautiously asked. The young mans eyes landed on mine. His blood coloured eyes clashing against my deep brown ones.

He took a step forward, causing me to take two steps back. The mysterious man only sighed. He closed his eyes and moved his head to the side. As if he was searching for an answer himself.

"What did you mean when you called me Dracula? What's your name?"
I asked, trying to get any sort of answer from him.

"You do not remember me master?" He asked his eyes widening showing a surprised expression. I shook my head. Knowing I had indeed never met this man in my entire life. But a small feeling kept bugging me, like I had in fact met him some where before.

"Then I suppose I should re-introduce myself." He mumbled. "My name is Vladamire. I am the head butler and caretaker of the great vampire lord Dracula." I shook my head. That was impossible, vampires do not exist. Especially Dracula.

"Vampires don't exist." I responded. Hoping to catch him off guard. His stare only strengthened to my dismay.

"Do you believe angels exist?" He suddenly asked.
"Well yes but.."
"Do you believe in demons? Or even, do you believe in God?" He continued.
Taking two brisk steps.
"Obviously I believe in god but..."
"Then surely you believe in vampires." Vladamire smirked knowing he had me there. I scratched my head in annoyance. This was getting me no were.
"Well I guess I should introduce myself as well I'm..."
"Marc Mccall, fourteen years old, and 5'5.You have an interest in books and choose to avoid confrontations and conversations from people you don't trust. For your entire life you lived in this church and barley left." He proudly announced. I felt my jaw drop. How does he know all of this information?

"How do you know so much about me?" I stammerd out. Vladamire sighed. As if I had asked the obviuse.

"It is a head butler's job to know about their master, correct?" I nodded.

"What does that have to do with me, you said your master was dracula. From what I have read, he died thousands of years ago. Unless he is still alive."

"He is now." Was all he responded with.

Then something just l, clicked. A heavy feeling spread through my mind. As if those words had put me under a spell. The weight of my legs began to feel heavy. My hand reached out towards the broken church bench. However my legs had already given out.

Before my brain could comprehend what was going on. My body fell backwards. I let out a surprised yelp as my back landed on something surprisingly soft. Instead of the expected rock hard floor. The butler's eyes met mine. My mind still had yet to comprehend what was going on. My eyes began to feel drowsy and began to slowly close. Surrounding me in total darkness.

"Craig, Where are you?" A femanine voice screamed. Worry evident in her voice. I opened my eyes. The bright light of the sun's rays welcomed me, from my deep sleep. My eyes scanned over the church building. Everything was still a mess from last nights events. The butler, Vladamire however was no where to be seen. My eyes landed on Craig's now horrified mother. Her head snapped towards my direction.

Her heels clicked against the floor as she made her way towards me. Her ocean like eyes showing anger and distress. I stood up, waiting for some sort of impact. My friends mother's delicate hands grabbed a hold onto my wrist. With a death like grip.

"Where is my son?" She shouted.

"I...he..." I hesitated. What should I tell her? Her son wanted to explore the banned area of the church and got kidnapped, while I was being held captive by a butler? There must be a better idea for this.

Her hold tightened. Turning my arm red. I tried to wiggle out of her grip from the numb pain. But it was impossible.
"Tell me now, Please." she growled.

"Craig.." I thought for a second. Father did always say to be honest. Especially in Gods house. I guess I have no choice.
"Craig is g..gone." I continued. My voice at it's usual quiet pitch. The woman was not satisfied with my answer.

"Where is he?!" She growled again. He hands only getting tighter, and her long nails began to dig deeper into my skin.

"I..I said he's gone." I cried out in pain. Once again not satisfied with my answer she reached her hand up to slap me. I closed my eyes ready for pain to surge through My face. But it never came. My eyes forces themselves to open again. Only to see a gloved hand holding onto Craig's mothers hand, in the same vice like grip as she had on me.

"I suggest you let my young master go.
My lady" Vladamire commented. His voice dropping down two octaves at the end of his sentence. The middle aged woman's eyes widened. I could feel her hand shaking. Not that I would blame her.

Abruptly, her hand released mine, while Vladamire continued to hold onto her arm.
"Now" he continued. "Why one earth did you attack my master like that?" The woman, still in shock from before remained silent.
"Surely there is a reason?" He tsks. Looking her dead in the eyes.
"I was just" she started. Trying avoid his heavy gaze. "Looking for my missing son."
"And you assumed my young master was the reason for his disappearance?"
She didn't respond. Her answer, was most likely a yes. But from the way Vladamire reacted before, it wouldn't be wise to answer. The young butler sighed. Releasing her from his grip.
"Then I suggest you leave." She nodded immediately and took off. Not leaving a single trace of her being her only a few seconds ago.

"Are you alright?" Vladamire asked his eyes looking me up and down. Head to toe. I nodded, not wanting to be in the same situation as the woman before me. He did not look convinced. His hand wrapped around mine and began to inspect it. The angry mothers hand had left a large red print on my arm. But it wasn't something I couldn't handle. The butler sighed. Without any other response, he spinned on his heels and began to make his way towards the church front doors.

"H..hey" I yelped out, surprised. "Where are you taking me?"
"Somewhere far away from here." He responded, with out sparing me a single glance.
"I can't just leave!" I barked back. Attempting to hold my ground. I began to put pressure on the soles of my feet. But it didn't help. "This is my home after all." I continued.

"This wasn't really your home, and I don't want to have to deal with the people from the night before. I did just wake up last night after all." He clicked his tongue in annoyance
"What makes you say they will come back?" He stopped dead in his tracks.
"They had come for you. Just because you were here last night doesn't mean you wouldn't be here tonight as well."

Without another word, he began to drag towards the big glass doors. I decided not to respond with any more questions. He seemed annoyed enough as it is. 'He must be cranky.' I joked in my head. 'But why would those people come after me? Surely there is a reason?'
