"Master?" Vladamire's voice called out through the darkness. My eyes felt heavy, like I couldn't open them almost. With all my strength I opened them to reveal a very worried looking Vladamire, and a dark forest. Almost matching the one in my dream completely. I looked around noticing that we were deep in the forest, and that the moon was barley rising. I also noticed that I wasn't on my feet. My eyes looked down to see that the dark butler was holding me bridal style. This made my cheeks heat up completely.
"Master?" The tall butler asked again. With all my courage I looked at him. My eyes meeting his. The vampire's eyes that once showed worry began to show humor. I felt myself become annoyed that he thought my embarrassment funny. But my courage didn't last long, forcing me to look away.
"C..can you put me down?" I whispered to him. My voice was very quiet, but I was sure the vampire had some kind of super hearing. Vladamire chuckled silently and set my body down. I looked around once again.
"Where are we?' I asked.
"Romania, master."
"Romania." I asked surprised. "How long was I asleep for?" I asked myself, not realizing that it was out loud.
"A couple of days." The butler responded, his eyes scanning the forest in a protective manner. I sighed 'only a couple of days, and i'm still tired.' My mind thought. 'God, why is this happening.' No matter how much I tried to find an answer, none had come to me. Vladamire, not noticing my internal crisis once again grabbed my wrist and began to drag me across the forest.
"H-hey, where are we going?"
"Your castle little master." He answered. "In Transylvania." I gasped.
"Is that where my dream took place in?" I once again asked out loud without realizing it. Vladamire stopped and turned to look at me. His eyes locking with mine in an unbreakable gaze.
"What did you dream about master?" The taller asked.
"Um...I was being chased by a man named Helsing, something Helsing, a-and you saved me from his bullet." I said making sure to keep out what I had said during our meeting. It was very out of character. There was no way, that was me from a passed life was it?
"Van Helsing." Vladamire growled out. Scaring me more then when we had first met. I looked at him cautiously. Trying to read his emotions. However there appeared to be more than one. Anger? Nostalgia maybe, or perhaps sadness? I couldn't tell. "I never really understood why you insisted on keeping him around." The butler mumbled.
"Was he really that bad?" I asked. Earning an annoyed sigh in return.
"Yes, he was the one wh-" Vladamire was cut off by a sudden rustle in the trees. His eyes darkened and began to search across the tops of the trees. I found my self looking around as well. However I couldn't find anything. Nothing looked out of place in the all too quiet forest. Until my eyes landed on a figure crouching in the shadows closest to me. All I could see was the outline of the figure, thanks to the moon's light. However no facial features could be seen. My protector reached out and pulled me behind him, in a protective manner. Acting as a shield. A low growl emitted from the figure in front of us. Sounding like a mixture of animals.
The figure then stood on four legs and began to circle us in a teasing manner. As the figure passed around us, the light illuminated it's eyes showing a bright sun like color. But with a hint of dark orange. The creature let out another low growl.
"W-what is that? Is it a wolf?" I asked. The older teenager shook his head.
"In a way yes, and no."
"What do you mean yes and no?" I questioned. The figure laughed. It's voice sounding very feminine. In the blink of an eye the female creature lunged towards me. Her paws almost grasped onto my head, but missed due to a kick from the Vampire's direction. It's body landing on a tree with a loud smack. Causing the tree to fall over completely. Vladamire tskd at the fallen female.
"You still insist on fighting us, shouldn't dogs know how to follow their master?" He joked, taking brisk steps towards her. The figure lifted it's head up looking up at Vladamire. "Perhaps I should put you on a leash, or maybe it's time to put you down." Using one hand he pulled the wolf like creature up and held her against a tree. From what I could faintly make out her paws began to change into human hands. Her now human hands began to claw at Vladamire's praying for air.
"Vladamire stop!" I yelled toward him. His eyes immediately turned towards me. In a freighting manner. The dark stare in his blood colored orbs sent chills down my spine. 'God help me now' I thought.
"Is that an order?" He called out to me, clearly showing annoyance.
"Yes, it's an order" I responded, and with a low growl the butler dropped what appeared to be a young girl now. His hand marks still on her throat. I ran towards her, ignoring Vladamire's warning glare. My hand reached out to comfort her, however she pushed it away. Still barley catching her breath.
"Don't....touch...me" She hissed out. My eyes looked at her, now taking in her full appearance. Long curly blond locks cascaded her face. By the looks of it, she appeared to be very young, maybe around ten or eleven.
"Are you alright?" I questioned. Her eyes lined up with mine and turned into a death glare that could kill anyone.
"What?"
"I said are you ok?" The girls eyes narrowed. I felt a shiver go down my spine. Her glare was far worse then Vladamire's, and she was just a small child.
"You, the great lord Dracula, asked me if I was ok?" She asked disbelievingly. I shook my head.
"N-no, I'm Marc, not Dracula." I responded, forgetting my past shyness for a split second. The girl stared at me, her eyes showed no emotion. Leaving me worried. A small smile began to tug at her lips, soon forming into a full goofy smile and a childish giggle. Her small hands covered her mouth in an attempt to hold her laughter back, but failed miserably.
"I...yeah...your right...there's.. no way" She attempted to respond. Her words barley understandable due to her laughter. 'Should I take that as a compliment?'
The younger girl held her hand up to greet me. "I'm sorry I attacked you, I thought that since you were being carried like a girl by Vlady you were him. My named Rowena by the way." My cheeks began to heat up in embarrassment. 'She saw that?' My mind practically yelled. I reached my hand out, and met her's. We both shook hands in a friendly manner before I pulled her up.
"I'm afraid to inform you, that he is Dracula." Vladamire's cold voice commented. The girl, now known as Rowena sent a disapproving look the butlers way.
"Like I said there's no way." She huffed. "He practically reeks of human."
"Watch what you say Mutt." He coldly argued back. Rowena shook her head.
"One," She started, holding her fingers up in a teasing manner. "He acts nothing like your spoiled prince. Two he looks nothing like him, and three as I said before he reeks of huma-" Before I could even blink, Vladamire had her once again held up by the hand.
"Listen well, he may not look or act it but he is your master, so I suggest you show some respect and follow like the good little dog you are, or you will be a stray and I will personally send you to the dog house, do I make myself clear?" He coldly whispered. Rowena, like any sane person nodded her head in response, fear very evident in her eyes. "Good." With a simple movement, the little girl was on the ground coughing her lungs out once again. I felt myself try to run to her aid, however the vampire butler stopped me. His hand closed onto my wrist and began to lead me passed the youngest and farther into the forest.
"Come" He called towards her direction. To my surprise Rowena followed without any complaints.
