The angered teen had dragged me half way across town. His hand on my wrist occasionally tightened. But it wasn't tight enough to break my hand or cause too much pain.

The towns people we had walked by already began to gossip. Which was the last thing I wanted. Gossip in this town traveled faster then the speed of light. If that was possible. I eyed the butler cautiously, still not entirely sure on what to expect. All I knew about him was how ridiculously over protective he was. I sighed.

Vladamire glared at every person we passed. His pace was kept. But at a very fast rate. Until he stopped. It was so abrupt that I ended up face planting into his back.

"Ow.." I grumbled. His back was as hard as a rock. "what's going on?" I asked. The young butler didn't answer. My head looked past him to see two midnight black cloaked figures, talking with Craig's mother. The tallest one, noticed both of our states and turned to look at me. I felt a shiver run up my back as out eyes met.

Vladamire noticing this, pushed me behind him and stood a protective stance. Sending his famous death glare toward the tall dark man.

"Young master.."He slowly spoke. Making sure I caught every word

" I need you to head somewhere safe. "

"Huh?"

"Go somewhere no one will be able to find you, I'll come get you after I deal with this." I looked at him. His eyes never left the mysterious figures. I thought for a second. This might be my chance to get away from him.

"S...sure" I responded. Immediately taking off without a second thought,

My eyes darted around. No where seemed like a good place to hide from either of them. Chance are, the hooded figures new the places I frequently visit. While Vladamire would be able to use his 'vampire instincts' To find me. Heading back to the church wasn't an option. I sighed. Clearly, I didn't plan this out very well.

"Do my old eyes deceive me?" Asked an old voice. Turning my head I spotted a church frequent. I felt hope rise.

"Ah.......m...Mr Braun." I shyly responded. The old man kindly reached out for my hand. His hand shook mine frantically, reminding me of an excited young child meeting their idol for the first time.

"No need to be shy lad, what are ya doing out here?"

"Oh...un...im...just"

"Sneaking off to see your girlfriend?" The energetic old man said giving me a wink. I felt my face heat up from embarrassment.

"Oh how I love the old tale of Romeo and Juliet. Make sure father doesn't find out lad."

"Uh.. sure" I responded. Looking around, my eyes avoiding his. Mr Braun laughed at my childish behaviour.

"Don't worry" he continued.

"I'll keep it a secret!" I nodded. In response. My eyes landed on two bags in one of his old hands.

"Um..do you need help with that?" I asked pointing at one of the bags beginning to break.

"If you don't mind, I do." He happy answered. Passing me one of the heavier ones. Felt my arm already getting tired from just holding onto it. Mr Braun took no notice and began his ascent towards his old home. Which was settled just outside the town. I huffed and followed closely behind him.

We walked for what felt like hours. Lucky for me when I had offered to take his bags, he was half way home. The walk wasn't too bad. Excluding the awkward silence that had remained between us.

Once we had finally reached our destination my hands dropped the bag. Causing it to rip, and all the fresh food to spill.

"Oh uh...sorry!" I apologized. Bowing my head a little.

"Don't worry about it lad, I would be more worried about your arm."

"Huh?" I asked sending him a questionable look.

"Your arm will be sore tomorrow from all the lifting. I'll make you some of my special drink to help it heal faster."

"S..Sur.."

"He won't be needing that. But thank you for your generosity." I jumped ten feet in the air. My eyes noticed Vladamire standing directly behind the old man. Anger still evident in his eyes from the figures. The old man gave me a sad smile.

"I guess I will be seeing you around then Marc. Good luck with your girlfriend." Mr Braun gave a thumbs up. Before Turning to gave Vladamire a pat on the back and pass him quickly. Disappearing into his old house and completely forgetting about the spilled produce.

"Let's get going young master, we have a long journey ahead of us." I eyed him cautiously.

"Where are we going?"

"As far away from this town as we can" Vladamire once again grabbed onto my hand and began heading towards the deep forest only a couple miles away from the kind old mans house. I looked back at Mr.Braun's house. Feeling a sorrowful feeling in my heart. Mr.Braun was a kind man. But a very Lonely one as well. 'I hope he won't be too lonely without father or myself around.' my mind thought. Ignoring the odd look from the vampire servant.
