there was a song playing softly and to go with it lights taps could be heard sam was intrigued by the sound. he walked to the stairs to the gym and there he saw someone his love was dancing slowly but no one with him.
he took the chance to silently walk up to him and grab his hand and twirl him inwards bucky was surprised but grabbed his hands and started to sway back and forth to the music.
he was surprised sam could dance but there was many things sam could do and was excellent at dancing was one of them. and so they stayed in each others arms whispering loving things towards each other.
the two men didn't realize that songs had passed through and the sun was coming up but they stayed in the comfort of their lovers arms. they were in love everyone knew it besides themselves.
they might of been dating for a year but not once have they said the words "i love you" no one understood why but they did. they were frightened to fall in love but they did.
as they danced FRIDAY recorded it all knowing this would be the day. as can't help falling in love started playing the sunrise got brighter and they stared into each others eyes. "i love you jamie with all my heart." sam finally said the words he was scared to what bucky would say but to his relief he said "i love you too sammy."
and they danced and danced but someone was watching. peter parker had tears in his eye remembering the dances he and his boyfriend had he missed him a lot but deadpool has a mission. he had a smile on his face and walked away to call his boyfriend.
the new captain america and the white wolf soon backed away and shared a passionate kiss. they made it their thing to dance.
and they did. their were dancing nights every week and as they passed each avenger would walk by and smile tears dancing in their eyes. they knew the two were the new leaders and they couldn't be happier for them.
they would talk while dancing. about their future together they never stopped dancing that was their thing. dancing all because of that night.
on their wedding day they danced to can't help falling in love. just like that night they both said i love you for the first time. the team had tears dancing in their eyes knowing what that song meant to them.
and they lived like that every night they would dance mission or no mission. till the day they died. they both knew it was their time sam was 59 bucky was to old to remember and on their last mission when they went down botch bloodied and hurt they danced until their last breath.
and that's how the team found their leaders in each others arm and they left them like that. they placed them in the coffin together never moving them.
and the two watched from heaven and their song was played at the funeral and they danced in heaven together for hours.
next to them dancing was tony and pepper, steve and nat, may and happy, scott and hope, bruce and thor, peter q and gamora,drax and mantis, t'challa and nakia, loki danced with his mom and vision waited for wanda to return to him while their was one man sat at the far corner smile on his face tears in his eyes watching his greatest creations dancing.
he looked down too the new avengers and said one thing "excelsior" and was now gone.
peter felt someone say something and looked up to see many couple forming together and he saw it his family he lost was their above his head and saw a man mouth "excelsior" while winking at him.
he walked away towards wade and pointed up and wade saw it too but saw his father their as well logan alone waiting for his daughter. and wade smiled and hugged the smaller man tight giving him a kiss and they walked away hand in hand they were the new leaders.
