For a child
adulthood is a dream
for the teens, it is liberation
for the adults , it is a burden
the thin line between adulthood is formally determined by 365 days
it is a day meant for celebration, but is it really ?
adulthood is when the layers covering your eyes are removed
the fence protecting you are destroyed
the hands holding you disappear
it is when everything becomes less dreamlike
more hellish like
it is when your heart starts pounding at the thoughts of society, relationships, money making and certainly living
it is when you realize
there will be no answers to the questions
more question marks than full stops
more shadows than rainbows
more burns than relief
more responsibilities than your body can hold
more and more
never less
never less...
