I entered the cave
where stalactites greeted me
with droplets of water
the place we were meant to come back to
the place where our story began to crumble
under the weights of the passing years

I still remember how you fled during the night
swallowed into the darkness of the forest
where lived our hope for the future we wished could happen sooner
you told me that night '' I don't know how to live''
You always thought I was knowledgeable
but I never got the chance to tell you
''neither do I ''
