I've started like everybody else. I came out into a world which was established a long time ago. The world was constantly evolving but demanded that i remain the same. That i don't change. That i confine to its under-linings without struggle. But I'm different . We are all different but we have to be the same. We were expected to have the same dreams , the same fears , the same form of happiness , the same features , the same mode of survival, the same success story. We can't conform but pretend like we do . We don't want to be excluded, right . We are afraid to be marked as different because we've been made to believe that different was bad .Different meant less. Different meant that we failed. That we couldn't conform to what was expected from us. That we were weak. But as i grew up , i found out that different meant staying true to ourselves. Its another form of freedom that many cannot have. That many were afraid of having . I never knew that to have freedom we needed courage . That courage was what was needed for freedom to come out. Wearing the clothes we want , doing the things we like , everything that was englobed around the self. The self which was considered selfish, ruthless, narcissistic. But this is the person that we truly are , the person that we want to become , not the person we were expected to be. When we let go of the chains that restrict ourselves from expressing our own character ,we realize that the fears that were once sold to us were mere illusions. Walls to imprison us . Walls constricting our minds .But we are the ones who are in control . Its our body , our mind , our life then it should be our choice to live the life we want . To pursue the dreams of a lifetime not the dreams of money making, jealousy induced jobs , social media photos, self-expressed jewelry, random joys of flying, status managed respect. We are the ones who decide. All we need to do is wake up and rise.
