The moment I knew I would have to ask for
more from life
I spent a restless night tossing around under the covers
with the powerful silence created
by the sleeping ones
How I wished the rain could pour to cover that
blurting picture of the perfect night
humming how fine it seems to cry
to pour everything out
would my cry reach the sky of the desperate ones
or is it another thing I have to demand from life
