THIRD PERSON'S POV.

River tried to keep a cool and calm look on her face, watching Vera and Victor approach Patricia. Inside though, she was hyperventilating. Hopefully, by some miracle, Patricia didn't have the ox bell and had returned it to the library. It felt like an eternity witnessing Victor dig through Patricia's bag, but he pulled something out after mere seconds.

"And..." Victor began, taking whatever it was out of Patricia's bag.

"Oh, this is not good," Nina whispered to her friends.

"What did we tell you?" Victor said ever so proudly, not realizing that he had been wrong. River let out a sigh of relief, seeing that Patricia didn't have the ox bell because Victor instead was holding a pencil case. A very floral pencil case, which was odd for Patricia Williamson to have if River had to say. Victor's eyes bulged as he finally saw that what he was holding wasn't the ox bell. "What?" Then he began taking out all of Patricia's belongings and dumped them on the chair, with Vera's help. "No! This is impossible."

"Uhm, please accept my apologies," Mr. Sweet began, his irritated stare on Victor, while the members of Sibuna shared relieved grins. "We seem to be acting on unreliable information." Victor turned around, giving the five Sibunas behind him his usual scowl. River raised an eyebrow, her smug grin growing wide. Oh, she loved it when Sibuna made Victor look stupid. This only angered Victor, who soon left the room with Vera. "And now, back to the joys of Physics and the genius of Sir Isaac Newton."

River hurried up to Patricia, with the rest of her club mates following behind her.

"You are good, Patricia!" Nina said, squeezing Patricia's arm and Patricia only gave a smile in return.

"Come along, Nina," the group heard Mr. Sweet's voice, deciding it was best to join their classmates and step into the corridor. "Let's not waste any more time."

"What just happened there?" Fabian asked his friends, all of them letting out sighs of relief.

"I don't know, but I think Victor's after more than the missing bell," Nina replied.

"You don't say," River dryly remarked.

"Do you think it was him who planted it in Fabian's room?" Amber asked.

"Could've been Vera. Looks like she's Victor's new sidekick."

"I don't have any other suspects as of now," Nina said, as she, Alfie, and Fabian stepped into the class.

As River was about to enter, she saw Amber look around the empty corridor and ask, "Where's Patricia?"

River furrowed her brows, noting that her goth friend wasn't with the group. She shrugged in response. "Don't know."
