3rd person POV

After Finn and Jack, Ponyboy went to see Autumn, alone. He walked over to her bedside and sat down in the chair next to her. Her eyes fluttered a little bit.

"Hey angel. It's me, Ponyboy." He said, his voice shaking. She turned her head to see him.

"Pony. Hi." Autumn said in a raspy voice. She didn't sound the same. She sounded weak. He grabbed her hand. There was a knock on the door, and a news reporter and a cameraman rushed in.

"Ms. Harries? Do you mind telling us what happened?" The reporter asked.

Autumn nodded weakly. "I was driving...on the highway.." She inhaled deeply a few times, then spoke again. "A big...truck..came and smashed..into my side...of the car." She inhaled with the mask. "It was a...hit and..ru-" Autumn gasped and closed her eyes. She took a couple breaths. "A hit and run." She finished, opening her eyes.

"If you could use one word to describe how you were feeling when that car hit, what would it be?" The reported asked.

"Scared." Autumn answered. The reporter was writing some things down.

"Alright. Now who's this?" She questioned, pointing to pony.

Autumn looked over. "My fiancé. Ponyboy." She tried to smile at him. The reporter nodded.

"Can-can you leave?" Autumn croaked. She inhaled from the mask. "I don't want to talk right now."

"What?" The news reporter asked. She looked taken aback. Ponyboy stood up.

"She said she doesn't want to talk. Please leave." Ponyboy exclaimed, calmly. He sat down again, holding Autumns hand.

"Ponyboy." Inhale. "I love you." Inhale. "And..I want to spend..the rest of my..." Inhale. "Life with you." Inhale. "But I can't." Inhale. "I'm sorry." Autumn exclaimed. Ponyboy started crying.

"It's okay Autumn. You can let go now. I love you too. And I'll see you again someday. You can let go." He said, knowing how much pain she was in. He kissed her forehead as her head rolled back to its original position. Her hand's grip loosened. Ponyboy started sobbing as her chest stopped rising and falling.
