Chapter 15: Let's Meet Again

"Ice Wings!"

When the land spikes was about to appear, wings was instantly molded behind my back. I flapped it and immediately floated mid-air.

I took a deep breath and looked down. Fortunately, I still have this technique. I was able to dodge these land spikes without worrying too much.

Hindi makapaniwalang nakatingin si Cantillon sa akin. His dumbfounded look lasted for a while. He then maintained his usual composure, which is his cold expressionless face.

"Where did you get that wings?" He asked, pointing his dagger eyes at my back. His deep voice resonated around the sand wall. I just stared at him at hindi nagsalita.

His face twitched when he did not receive any response.

"Well, hindi ko na kailangan pang malaman kung saan mo 'yan nakuha. I will get that wings myself." He laughed as he pointed his right hand toward me.

Countless ball of sands could be seen forming from the ground. It floated in the air, slowly circling around him.

He then smirked. The balls changes in shape into a pointy spike and then rushed to my direction. Mabilis ito ngunit dahil sa aking passive talent, which enables the user to move fast, I was able to dodge the balls by hovering to the side. The spikes hit the wall behind me and it shattered like a rock hammered into pebbles.

Instead of being annoyed about knowing I evaded his first attack, he threw spikes again. I quickly dodged it by taking advantage of my speed. This lasted for how many minutes.

Nang makita niyang madali kong naiilagan ang kaniyang atake, he stopped.

"Now, it's my turn to attack," I calmly spoke. I raised my right hand and said, "Viper!"

A cold sensation slithered through my arm and a silver-white silk loosely jump down as it directly dashed to Cantillon like an arrow.

This silk is an accessory I got from killing the Serpent on the river. This is a bandage that will follow the command of the owner once put in the accessory section. It acts like a pet, similar to a snake. It is flexible, sneaky, and sturdy. It could bend and it could stretch to how many meters long. This can be use to bind opponents.

This bandage is hidden in my stomach, tightly wrapped around it. It would only show up once I summon it. I haven't tried this viper before, at ngayon ko palang ito gagamitin. I wanted to see kung ano ang kayang gawin ng bandage na ito.

When the viper was shot to Cantillon, he was caught off guard. Sobrang bilis ng pangyayari kaya hindi agad ito nakapaghanda. Sobrang bilis pumunta ng viper sa kaniya.

When it reached him, it was immediately followed by a loud sound.

"Pak!" The edge of the viper slapped his face. The viper did not stop and even slapped him again, hard.

This time, that slap reverberated around. Natawa ako. I didn't expect that viper to slap him. That must have cause him pain since there were two slap marks on his face.

Cantillon started to lose his temper, veins becoming visible on his neck. His face was turning red, as if he ready to explode.

I immediately told the viper to wrap the man before it was going to do anything.

"Bind him!"

Tumaas ang kalakihan ng bandage na iyon at agad pinulupot ang katawan ng lalaki. It started from his feet up to his neck.

He couldn't break free from this bandage by struggling. This viper is similar to a snake, its capability of wrapping around a prey is strong. The more they struggle, the more pressure they would receive.
