In Fate's Hands

New and Old

Well, here goes nothing! I do apologize for the extended wait on this chapter. Occurrences in life took my focus away from writing. Please forgive me and allow me to get back into the swing of things! I hope you all understand. :)

Mina: "You are a guest. So no, you will not. And also, it's too late to drive home. You can sleep in our guest room. I have already set up the bed for you. Let me finish this. Go get some sleep, Y/n. We will hang out more tomorrow."

(She flashes that iconic gummy smile, and I return a smile. I head upstairs to the guest bedroom. I take off my shirt and pants and put on some basketball shorts to sleep in. I get in bed and lay down. I finally settle down, and begin to think about all that happened today... That is until I hear the sound of thunder boom. I hear rapid footsteps in the hall, my door bursts open, and I see a figure in the dark run and jump on my bed. The individual wraps her arms around me and buries her head into my chest, and I feel tears on my bare chest.)

You: "It's okay Sana... I'm here."

(I hug her tighter and then that's when it hit me... I am in bed with Minatozaki Sana... With my shirt off... oh god.)

(The Following Morning)

(I wake up to the aroma of eggs hitting my nose. Half asleep, I sit up and stretch. I look around the room and notice it is not mine, and I quickly remember the events that unfolded the night before. I look to the right of me to find the rest of the bed to be empty.)

You: "She must have already gone back to her room..."

(I rub my eyes, and wait till I am fully awake. I then get up and get dressed, and head out of the guest room. When I open the door, the scent of eggs intensifies and I hear loud conversations coming from downstairs. I take a deep breath and step towards the stairs when one of the nearby doors opens and the taller girl of the group steps out and looks at me wide-eyed. I could tell she was a bit awkward and shy so I offer a friendly smile to her.)

You: "Good morning, Tzuyu. I apologize for startling you. I was over late last night, and Mina suggested I stay in the guest room. I hope that does not bother you..."

(Tzuyu still wide-eyed shakes her head.)

Tzuyu: "It's okay, Y/n... I don't mind."

(She awkwardly walks off after her comment. I smile at how shy she is, and then follow her downstairs to find the rest of the girls sitting around a long table, eating their breakfast. They all are looking and laughing at Sana. Sana's face is bright red, and she looks defeated as she looks down at her plate. When Tzuyu joins them at the table, they look in her direction and see me slowly descending down the stairs and they all get quiet. I come to a stop as I notice them all looking at me. I look to Sana again and she is just pouting. Mina notices that I am feeling rather awkward so she jumps out of her chair and comes up to me and grabs my arm and pulls me to the table and an empty chair.)

Mina: "Come eat with us, Y/n. We made enough for you. Did you sleep well?"

(She asked that innocently, but Jeongyeon and Nayeon start giggling and whispering to each other. I look at them and then back to Mina.)

You: "Um, I appreciate it. I slept well, thanks. But I need to return my friend's car to him as soon as I am done eating. I hope that's not rude to just eat then leave?"

(When I say that I give a glance around the table and can see a bit of disappointment in Sana's eyes.)

Mina: "No, we understand. We have something we need to do today as well. We just wanted to make sure you ate before. So, Sana mentioned you are leaving back to America in a month? What are your plans?"
