We ran, sirens blaring in our ears. Every once in a while I'd look behind me, 059 always looked determined. Never scared, or confused, or even the slightest hint of distrust in me. I looked back in front of me, I promised myself that both of us are getting out of here. I turned a corner, SCP-049. "We're here." I said, the sirens blocking out my own voice. I kneeled down to 059's height. "Stay here, I'll go in and talk to him quickly." I had to slightly shout so she could hear me, she nodded her head telling me she understood. I stood back up and approached the door. It was just like the one that held 059. I used all the strength I could muster up and jammed my hands through. I pushed the door open, grunting and groaning from it trying to close back up. Finally I pushed it far enough it broke, sparks almost hit my face. "Doctor!" I yelled. In the center of the room was 049. He was doing surgery on a dead body, the sirens not even phasing him. I quickly ran up to him. "Hey, come on I need your help!" I shouted, he ignored me. I looked down at the body, he was sewing it back up. I waited for him to finish, looking behind me every few seconds. When he finally finished he first took notice to the sirens. I grabbed his shoulder roughly. "I got some more patients for you! Come on!" I yelled, he didn't question me and quickly gathered his things into his satchel. We walked out of the room, 059 ran to my side and grabbed my hand. "Look at the ground for a bit!" I told her, she did as she was told and looked down. "Here." The doctor spoke quietly, I had almost missed what he had said. He dug in his satchel and pulled out some dark tinted glasses. I quickly grabbed them and told 059 to put them on. "Where is the exit?!" I asked the doctor, he thought for a moment taking his sweet time. "There is an exit out in the field." He said. I nodded my head. "Could you lead us?!" The blaring sirens were beginning to get on my nerves. "This way." The doctor speed walked down the hallway, surprising me with his speed. I jogged to catch up with him, sadly 059 was having a rough time. "Here." I picked 059 up and continued following 049. "Why is there a field?!" I asked the doctor. "It holds an SCP, which one it is I have no idea!" He continued walking ahead and turned a corner. Standing there was four guards pointing their rifles at us. I felt 059's arms tighten around my neck. "Shit." I muttered. 049 didn't seem to have a reaction. "Do not move! Or we will shoot!" I looked at the doctor. "We gotta run for it." I said so only he could hear me. He took a step forward, the guards put their fingers on the triggers. My eyes went wide, I held onto 059. "Doctor! What are you doing?!" I yelled at him. He reached a hand out and took another step. The guards kept their guns up. I looked down at 059, I could tell she was scared. "It's okay. Everything will be okay." I reassured her. The doctor took another step forward. "You're sick! I can cure you!" The rifles that the guards were holding slowly began aiming lower. "I am the cure!" At this point the doctor was walking towards them. The guards all dropped their guns to the ground, I stared in astonishment. He reached for one and touched their shoulder. The person immediately going limp and falling to the ground. Eventually all guards lay lifeless on the ground, both 059 and I let out a shaky breath. The doctor began doing his surgery on the first victim. "Oh no." I put 059 down and walked up to him. I could already tell I couldn't get him from his own trance. "What's that?" 059 tapped my shoulder and pointed to a sign. "Courtyard? SCP-096." I read out. Then it hit me. "096!" I exclaimed and stood up. "That must be who is being held in the field!" I looked down at 059 and smiled. "One more person we have to meet, but you have to promise me you'll follow everything I say." She nodded her head, the glasses slightly hopping off her nose. "Great, let's go." She grabbed my hand and we began running again, leaving the doctor behind to continue with his surgeries.
