(Chapter 14)

As we are finishing paperwork voight walks out of his office

"Suit up everyone, hostage situation down at 51" hank says walking down and out of the station

We all suit up and get in our vehicles making our way down to 51

I arrive and see the bay doors covered in bullet holes and all of the doors closed

"What's the plan sarge?" I say walking up to hank with antonio on my tail.

"Nothing as of now. They want money and a ride" hank says

"Look, we gotta do something soon. My sister is in there" Antonio speaks up.

"So how about we set up a perimeter around Chicago on all of the exits and entrances. Get the guy the car and get him the money. He drives off we catch them while they are fleeing" I say as intelligence gathers around.

"That's a good idea but what if the flee on feet?" Erin ask

"We have them dogs ready" I say

"Call em back, tell em we got their cars and their money" hank says to the one patrol officer

"What if this goes to shit?" Antonio asks me

"Then plan b" I say

"I trust you" Antonio says

"Good!" I say walking over to the police officer who's calling the men inside the station

"I don't want no car no more. Y'all always got something planned" he says and hangs up

"I told you!" Antonio says freaking out

"Get your head out your ass, plan b" I say walking to voight who's already heard the news

"Me and jay go look for an open door. Put a cap in their ass?" I say suggestively

"That sounds like the best bet at this point." Voight says

"Okay. Get all of these patrols out of here. Get everyone out. You guys go down south on Acers ave get ready. These guys might flee on feet" I say walking over to Erin

"We're going in" I say walking to jay

"What if there's no doors open?" Jay says

I look over too see that one of the trucks are out of the bay door. I guess they forgot to bring it in.

I walk over and open one of the compartments and grab a married set. Which is a flat head axe and a haligan. And I hold it up to jay.

"We got these" I say winking at him

I look around to see Antonio looking at me with fear

I give him a thumbs up and a nod

Me and Halstead make our way around the station looking for open doors

We find an open door on the west side of the firehouse

We quietly walk in and walk over to the bay room after clearing all of the other rooms

I look in and see all the the firemen against the wall sitting down I look over and see gabby helping someone who's been shot.

I look around and Kelly catches my eye. I look at him and tell him to be quiet

I walk in slowly with my gun drawn with Halstead behind me.

"CHICAGO PD PUT YOUR HANDS WHERE I CAN SEE THEM!!" Me and Halstead shout

The men turn around and grab borelli and hold a gun to his head

"Ah look. Police!" He says shoving the gun further into jimmys head

"Put the gun down! You can leave." I say keeping my gun up

The other guys turns around and points the gun at kelly and shoots him in the stomach

"KELLY!" I yell

Then out of reaction I shoot the guy who shot kelly them I point my gun at the guy who has jimmy

"I'll put lead through your brain before you can even think about pulling your damn trigger" I say to him

"This can all be over and you can leave." Jay says to the guy

"Look man, my kids. My daughter she died. Some dude shot her this isn't fair. You first responders can't do shit" he says tears pouring down his face.

"Look, I understand. We can't always get there in time to save you. But that doesn't mean you can come and hold up a firehouse with men who just wanna help people and make it home at the end of shift, just like you do" I say

"Put the gun down man. And we will change this. We will try in all of our power to make this better I promise" jay says

"Jay I gotta help kelly" I say to him

The man puts his gun down and lets jimmy go who falls to the ground in fear

"Take me man. Take me" the guys says as police rush in to grab him

I run to kelly whos now unconscious

"Kelly, kelly. Stay with me come on" I say holding his wound as paramedics load him onto a stretcher and rush him to the hospital

Antonio rushes in and gets to gabby who is sobbing

Antonio then looks at me nods

I start to feel hazy so I walk back to my truck and get in. I grab my purse and grab my syringe. I prep my heroine and shoot it

I start to feel light headed as jay starts to walk to my truck.

He looks at me weary. And opens the door to which I fall unconscious into his arms

"SOMEONE HELPP!!!HEY SOMEONE GET OVER HERE" is the last thing I hear from jay before I completely knock out.

Moments later I wake up too seeing myself on 51 parking lot ground with paramedics who've just finished administering narcan.

I look over too see jay looking very disappointed and hank looking pissed

Paramedics load me up and take me into med

We get there and I'm put into a room.

Hank walks in

"Look I was mad. I still am only for the fact that you were high on the job but I understand the struggle. And you need help. I'm pulling you out until you get help. Your spot won't be replaced. Your just going to be on leave for a little while" hank says run in hmu shoulder

"Yes I understand. Thankyou!" I say to him

"I'm only doing what's best for you" he says as Antonio walks in

"I'll leave you too alone" he says and walks out

Antonio then grabs a chair and pulls it up to my bed

He sits down and grabs my hand

"I gotta talk to you about something" he says looking at me...
