"Tom?" Ariana was surprised to see him at her door, Toulouse came running to the door at the same time, he stroked his third favourite furry friend as he licked him.
"Hey," He smiled, though it felt forced. It had been a while since Christmas, their whole relationship had been up in the air. He wasn't even sure who was to blame here.
It was silence as he walked into her spacious apartment, he walked around the room, wondering whether he should make himself comfortable. He decided to stand, he tucked his hands into his pockets.
"Are you here to break up with me?" Ariana broke the silence, she was good distance away from him as she stood in the kitchen.
Tom laughed, he walked up to where she was in the kitchen, behind the counter. He grabbed her hands, weaving his fingers through hers, "No."
They had seen each other a few days ago, Tom had to wrap up filming in Los Angeles, so Ariana had come to see him. It ended with them arguing again but it was still nice to spend time together, though they tried their best to avoid the paparazzi.
"Why are you here?" Ariana asked, "Shouldn't you be in London?"
"I am but I wanted to see you. I'm really, really sorry..."
"It's okay, I don't care about that. It was my fault, I shouldn't have been trying to change you."
"You were changing me, you were helping me and, you were right. I shouldn't have tried to hide it from you." Tom held onto her hands tightly. "I shouldn't be trying to hide anything from you. I want to tell you that I love you."
Ariana felt her heart pound, she'd been beating herself up over telling him and here he was telling her first. She almost had a heart attack when he got down on one knee. "No..."
"Don't worry...I am definitely proposing. Will you marry me?"
She didn't know how she didn't see it before, "Okay, so you're definitely drunk."
"I'm not drunk, I'm Tom..."
"Get up," She helped lifting him from his knees, "Don't be stupid. I'm not going to marry you, I can't...but Tom, I love you."
"It's alright, I'm an pretty drunk."
"Then, come on. I'll take care of you."

"If you could be an animal, which one would you be?" Ariana was already laughing uncontrollably. She lay next to Tom on a fluffy rug, "I'd be a cat."
"That's too easy," He rolled his eyes, "You can't just pick your television character. I could easily pick a spider."
"You can't just pick your television character," She mocked him in a dreadful British accent. "Then what would you pick?"
"Um, probably a butterfly. They can fly and they're pretty...like me."
"Yep," Ariana turned her head, so she was facing him, "I think they're gorgeous."
"Thanks love," He smiled back at her before titling his head for a kiss. "Cats are pretty alright too."
