The sound of deafening banging pulled Illyria from her deep sleep. She scrunched her face up, groaning gently, not ready to face the day yet. She was so warm, so comfortable. A sudden jolt beneath her head made her flinch, eyes opening sleepily and adjusting to her foreign surroundings. Eren frowned, rubbing his forehead and groaning loudly, clearly not ready to wake up yet either. All the memories from last night came flooding back. Levi and Petra, Eren, she had stayed the night here.

Another chorus of thundering bangs echoed through the room, louder this time, being directed on Eren’s door, causing both of them to jump slightly. The door opened, light from the hallway pouring in through the darkened room. Eren hissed, wincing slightly as his eyes were forced to adjust and Illyria sighed, not quite realising the severity of the situation in her sleep addled state.

“Come on, Jaeger, get your sorry ass up.” An all too familiar voice droned out as Levi stepped into the room. Illyria’s heart leapt into her throat, mouth becoming as dry as a desert, blood running cold as her eyes fell on the captain. Levi stopped, freezing to the spot as he took in the completely unexpected sight before him.

Levi couldn’t believe his eyes. Lying there in Eren's bed, practically wrapped up in the boys arms, was Illyria. He was beyond stunned, and it showed.

Illyria locked eyes with Levi for just a brief moment, she saw the obvious surprise in his eyes, followed by another look she didn’t recognise which quickly manifested into anger. His eyes darkened, fingers clenching into fists at his side, jaw tightening. She looked away as Eren moved, shuffling away from the boy as he nervously got out of bed.

“What the fuck is this?” Levi spat, his voice dangerous, threatening, unable to keep his cool. Eren held up both hands in an attempt to pacify him.

“No sir, it’s not what it looks like I swear...” Illyria pushed herself from the bed, feeling completely disengaged, almost numb as all her thoughts and feelings came flooding back. She didn’t care if she got into trouble. She didn’t care about anything right now. Let Levi punish her some more. Levi was silent, as if waiting for some sort of explanation, though Eren wasn’t  sure what to say.

Illyria bent to pick up her clothes, dropping them on the bed and turned to face Levi again before either of them could say anything else.

“It was my fault, sir. I came to visit Eren last night and passed out.” She lied, watching as Levi’s eyes narrowed in disbelief, clearly seeing through her bullshit. Yet he did not call her out on it. Levi paused, taking a breath to steady himself and completely ignoring the boy who was rushing to get himself dressed. Illyria slipped off the bottoms she had borrowed from Eren, not caring at all about modesty right now and pulled on her own trousers.

“Light, my office, now. Jaeger, I want to see you after training. Understood?” Eren gave a firm salute, abandoning his task of buttoning up his shirt for a moment.

“Yes, sir!” Illyria shook her head, pulling off her tee without a care and slipping into her own clothes, handing the items back to Eren.

“Sorry sir, but I can’t make it right now. I have to shower and get ready for training.” Levi’s eyes sharpened, his gaze portraying his rage but Illyria didn’t care.

“What you have to do, is what you are told, cadet.” He flashed her a dark glare and left the room, proceeding to wake up the other soldiers. Eren relaxed, releasing a loud sigh and turned to Illyria, his eyes showing his awkwardness and unease with the whole situation.

“That could have been worse.” He said, continuing in his task of getting dressed, reaching for his harnesses and sitting on the edge of the bed. Illyria smiled, sitting beside him and pulling on her boots.
