Chapter 5
Julia was dreaming. She could feel Wilfred's arms around her pulling her close, the warmth and strength that she could feel in his arms made her heart tremble. She could feel his breath on her neck that sent tingles down to her middle as each breath was released. It was such a realistic dream she didn't want to wake up, so she snuggled deeper into Wilfred's arms knowing that when she did wake up he would be gone. It took a few moments before she opened her eyes fully. The realisation hit her that this not only was not a dream, but the body she was tucked into was bigger and stronger than Wilfred's so not his ghost.
Trying desperately to remember the night before she closed her eyes again, fighting the fear that started to knot in her stomach. The last thing she remembered was reclining against Geralt. Carefully running her hand gently along the arm that held her trapped she felt the familiar scars that she had been tending. Breathing a little easier the fear abating as she relaxed enjoying the warmth before another thought made her panic. Why was he in her bed? what had she let happen? The panic began to rise in her chest her heart racing as she lifted the blanket. A rush of air expelled from her lungs as she saw that they were both still in their wedding celebration clothes. Relief filled her, she knew she was beginning to have feelings for Geralt but she didn't want to be reckless.
Trying to gently lift his heavy arm to easy out of the bed Geralt stirred, and only tightened his embrace. "Morning" a low gruff voice mumbled. Geralt pulled Julia close again, his mind was still hazy with sleep. Forgetting that this woman was his Mistress and not his lover he nuzzled into her neck. His body stirred as he started kissing her neck, his groaning sound reverberated close to her ears as his kisses became more fervent. Julia had to think fast Geralt was too strong to fight and he seemed to be acting on impulse without thought for who he was with.
The feel of his lips on her neck made her body respond in a heavenly way from her toes up. Before she lost her own sense of control she whispered: "Geralt I need to use the privy please lift your arm." Geralt seemed to lose his intense interest in her neck and relaxed back, trying to talk to Julia all Geralt said was "Mmmmm" it seemed it was the only sound he could muster as his body betrayed him and he fell asleep again. His arm relaxed allowing her to lift it, and slip out of the bed. Julia was flustered but also amazed he could make her feel that way, she looked down at his sleeping form, his body took up most of the bed. Not sure how they had ended up there but thankful he had been a gentleman she slipped into her dressing room to change.
Back in her comfortable tan and orange dress, Julia walked towards the kitchen her mind whirling from the shock of waking up next to Geralt and his kisses. Walking into the large room she noticed Nessie who was up and preparing breakfast for anyone who was able to awaken from their celebration comas. "Morning Mistress, did you sleep ok?" Nessie asked as she gave attention to Julia while continuing to chop some parsley. Pulling her from her internal battle and remembering her role as Mistress she replied "yes, Nessie I did, thank you. Any chance I could get some food to take back to my room" Nessie nodded and started to fill a plate with scrambled eggs and bacon, tomato and parsley.
Looking back at Julia with a teasing smile Nessie asked, "and do you want a plate for Geralt too?" Julia's face went white as that now all too familiar fear began to curl in her stomach, "does everyone know he shared my bed?" blushing Julia watched as Nessie filled another plate. Bringing them around the table to her mistress she looked at her with compassion "It's ok, we all saw Geralt carry you to bed as you had fallen asleep. But only Hannah and I know he slept in your chambers. Hannah saw you leave and thought to help you get ready for bed but when Geralt did not leave she decided to go back to the party as we both have known mistresses that take male servants to bed with them." At this Julia went an even brighter shade of red and pure embarrassment replaced the fear.
