Am I your lockscreen?"
"You weren't supposed to see that."
She'd picked up his phone from the floor of the training room. And couldn't help but look at the wallpaper.
"This was in Paris? We'd stayed the night because, we were so drained from battle.
We spent the whole night wrapped in each other's arms."
"You fell asleep and I couldn't sleep at all. I just... had to hold you and me not sleeping knew that nothing would happen to you if I were alert."
"Hey, I'm okay now. I'm not going anywhere."
Her arm caressed his. Trying to comfort him.
"You looked so peaceful. I snapped a pic just as the sun was rising. It encompassed you like a halo of golden light."
That made her blush. She didn't blush easily. But when it came to Jace, it came naturally.
"You're so amazing, do you know that?"
"Well, on occasion."
She leaned up and kissed him.
"You know I have you on my lockscreen?"
"Hmm, no. But I'm glad. It lets people know you have a boyfriend."
He smirked at her.
"Well, that goes both ways."
She poked him in the chest and he feigned hurt.
"We should get back to training."
"Yeah. Then after we can get lunch."
She pulled on some black gloves, getting ready to spar.
"Did you at least use a good pic of me?"
"Me? Of course!" She said teasing him.
"Good. What am I saying, I never take a bad photo."
"Or maybe it's one of us feeding the ducks at the park?"
"You didn't!"
She kissed his cheek and they started to spar.
