"I think you might be my soulmate."
"Pfft! You're just realizing that now!?"
"It's not often that you find a girl who gets my humor. And that's watched Star Wars!"
"That was mostly to impress you. But they were good movies."
"And that's just one of the many reasons why I love you."
He flipped another page of his comic book.
Thinking when the right time would be to ask her a very important question. And realizing that he was procrastinating; and that it would never be the perfect time.
Clearing his throat. He asked.
"Izzy, Isabelle. I wanted to ask you something."
"Sure. What is it you wanted to ask me?"
He looked flushed. Like he was nervous. Or about to throw up his lunch.
Fumbling around in his pocket he pulled out a keychain. A dark key with rhinestones on top.
"I was wondering if you'd take this key? You can use it whenever you want. And most of your stuff is in my apartment anyway... you can stay with me or go anytime you want."
"Simon."
"Yeah?" He managed to get out. Even though he was stumbling over his words.
She looked at the key and then up at him.
Reaching over she grabbed his hand. It was clammy. But she didn't mind.
"Are you asking me to move in with you?"
"If you want to. But there's no pressure. "
"Well...yes."
"You know it's okay, it's perfectly fine you ..."
"Simon. I said yes!"
"What? You did??"
She nodded.
He smiled and she leaned in to kiss him.
He gave her the keychain and she held it in her hand.
"I like it. It's very me. Dark like my soul. But I also have this sparkle in me."
She dangled it in her hand and watched it sparkle in the light.
A smile on her face.
"So we're really doing this?"
" I'm in if you are?"
"All in."
They sealed it with a kiss.
