Without You

To Berk

Hiccup woke up the next morning with Heather's arms still wrapped around him and her head still on his shoulder with his arms also still wrapped around her.

"Heather it's time to get up." Hiccup whispered in her ear while stroking her hair gently.

Heather stirred but didn't wake up and mumbled out "5 more minutes." making Hiccup let out a soft chuckle.

"But if we dont get an early start we wont arrive at Berk before night fall." Hiccup said in a voice that was just above a whisper "and then we would have to wait longer to find out who your birth family is."

Heather woke up at that moment "well what are we waiting for lets get going." Heather said getting out of bed and getting dressed stretching while Hiccup did the same putting on his tunic and armor.

They then headed out of Heather's hut and to the clubhouse where Hiccup cooked some pancakes for breakfast along side some bacon for them to eat before they gathered the supplies they needed for the days flight.

Hiccup grabbed a spare tail fin for Toothless and his basic survival kit while Heather got her axe and medical kit and the dragon eye just in case the hunters attacked while they were gone and then they both met up at the stables and put the supplies they gathered on Windshear and Toothless' saddles.

"Anything else we need or do you have everything?" Hiccup asked Heather who just finished attaching the medical kit to the saddle bag.

"Nope I got everything I need we just have to stop by Johann on the way there as he said he has some news about dagur if that's ok" Heather replied climbing onto Windshear.

"Ya thats fine we should have time to stop by besides he might have the squid ink I asked him for." Hiccup replied with a smile while getting on Toothless as they all took off towards Berk.

About 3 hours into the flight Heather spotted Johann's ship pointing it out as they both started their descent to the ships deck.

"Ahh Miss Heather and Master Hiccup what a pleasant surprise." Johann started as he went over to a box on deck "I assume you are here for your squid ink Master Hiccup and Miss Heather for the new about Dagur?" Johann questioned.

"You would be correct Johann." Heather said while Johann was handing the ink to Hiccup and Hiccup handed Johann some of Toothless' scales as payment.

"From my Informant they have told me Dagur split up from the dragon hunters as they couldn't help him with his objective." Johann began  "That reminds me of the time I once made a deal with a old trading it was a hot summer day when we met in the oceans of the great beyond near the island of.."

"Johann to the point please what's his objective." Heather said cutting Johann's story off before it could begin.

"Sorry Miss Heather, anyway apparently everything he has done is because he has been searching for Oswald The Agreeable and someone else apparently another off spring of Oswald." Johann finished looking a bit annoyed that he couldn't finish his tale of adventure.

"But I though Ozwald was dead and that Dagur killed him." Hiccup interjected with a confused look on his face.

"Not to mention a second child of Ozwald's that could mean twice the trouble for us to take him down if he finds them." Heather added with a worried look on her face.

"I agree Miss Heather it wouldn't be good if Dagur found his other sibling, we have to hope that they are more sane and reasonable then Dagur if they were to meet, It reminds me of the time I once visited the northern markets and entered the tavern where I was confronted with the sight of two broth.."

"Thanks for the information Johann but we have to get going we have to get to berk before nightfall for some personal business it was good talking to you again." Hiccup interjected  quickly while getting on Toothless and Heather got on Windshear as they took off to not get trapped in one of Johann's long stories that lasted for hours.

When they were in the air and back on their way to berk that would take about another hour of flying to get there Heather was the first to speak.

"Can you imagine what Dagur could do if he found his other sibling they would cause more chaos then the twins on Loki day." Heatner exclaimed with a worried look on her face as she looked to Hiccup and she could see the gears turning in his head

"What are you thinking Hiccup?" Heather asked curious.

"Well from all the incidents and run ins I have had with Dagur he may seem crazy but he has always seemed to not like me in his way on his 'quest' as he would call it, now I know Dagur isn't the most stable person but what if all this time he has been looking for his father and sibling but had to make it look like a conquest for his people to follow him and didn't want people getting in his way in his search." Hiccup reasoned.

"That's no excuse to have been killing people like my adoptive parents." Heather shot back

"I'm not saying that but what would you do to get your family members back if you had to." Hiccup began "I-I never met my mother and I would move mountains to be able to meet her for my self if I needed to just to get to know her and to know what if she approves of what I am doing with my life." Hiccup said with a sad face.

Heather noticed this and gently maneuvered Windshear over to Toothless so she could climb on behind Hiccup and gave him a kiss on the cheek while wrapping her arms around him to give Hiccup a hug.

"I'm sure your mother would be proud of everything you have done and would be happy where you are in your life right now." Heather said reassuringly.

"You really think so?" Hiccup said turning his head to her.

"I know so." Heather replied with a smile tightening the hug as Berk came into view.

Hope you all enjoyed things are going to be going down next chapter I might split it into 2 depending how long it is but I have the next 2 story events planned out I just have to write them up I think my new standard for chapters is going to be 900 - 1000 or more words as that's a decent size I think please vote and comment any feedback it appreciated
