Without You

taking it all in

As Heather woke up in the morning she realized that Hiccup still had his arms around her and smiled before remembering what they discussed last night which made her smile falter.

She gently worked her way out of Hiccup's embrace careful not to wake him.

After she was out of Hiccup's arms Heather went to the small pond in the cove and washed the her face completely waking her up and she looked around the cove and saw that Windshear and Toothless found their way to it and were still asleep so Heather decided to go for a walk in the forest but first she walked over to where Hiccup was sleeping and wrote a note saying where she was and gave his forehead a kiss before closing the note in his hand and heading off to the coves exit.

While Heather was walking in the forest she was deep in thought thinking of what to do with the new information she had been given about her birth family should she go try and meet dagur and tell him about herself being his sister. "It would be nice to finally get to know my birth family" Heather spoke out in a mumbled voice as she continued walking as she stroked her braided hair.

After about an hour of walking and thinking things over in her head she came to a conclusion and hurried back to the cove to tell Hiccup what she wanted to do and only hoped that Hiccup would support her.

Back at the cove about half an hour after Heather left Hiccup woke up noticing Heather was gone and was worried until he found her note and sighed "I hope your doing ok" Hiccup thought out loud and started getting some breakfast for when she got back.

After about 30 minutes of setting up Heather walked in to the cove Hiccup noticed her right away and started walking over to her with a smile "Heather I'm glad your back i made some breakfast... Heather are you ok?" Hiccup asked noticing Heather's worried expression on her face as he got closer.

"Yes I am I just wanted to talk with you about what I found out last night." Heather said stroking her braided hair nervously.

"Of course" Hiccup said now also a little nervous as he guided Heather to the edge of the pond in the cove and sat down with her.

"What is it you want to ask about?" Hiccup asked her holding her hand.

Heather sighed "I..I would like to try and meet Dagur to talk with him and let him know im his sister." Heather hurried out and turned away from Hiccup.

"I understand if you wont come with me I-I just would like to atleast meet a member of my birth family properly and try to learn a bit more about my birth family." Heather said getting up with tears in her eyes.

"I wouldn't expect you to understa..." Heather didn't get to finish as she was pulled into a hug by Hiccup.

"I understand perfectly Heather i never got to meet my mother and would do anything to be able to meet her and find out more about her." Hiccup said whiping the tears from her eyes and giving her a kiss on the forehead "I promise we will find dagur and get you and him to have a hopefully happy reunion." Hiccup said smiling holding Heather in the hug as she smiled

"Thank you Hiccup I'm so glad you support me and that we are together." Heather said smiling as she broke the hug.

"I'm getting a bit hungry and I see you made some breakfast so let eat." Heather said with a giggle as she took Hiccups hand and pulled him to where he set up breakfast and sat down to eat.

After they were finished eating and starting to clean up Heather asked Hiccup "Do you remember anything about her... your mother??" Which made Hiccup sigh.

"I'm sorry I shouldn't have asked its not my pla-." "No its alright you would have liked her I think from what little I can remember of her." Hiccup started.

"She was very kind cared for everyone around her and didn't fight unless it was to protect someone she cared about she was taken by dragons when I still couldn't walk or talk atleast thats what my dad has told me about her... oh and she was a terrible cook." Hiccup ended in a laugh which made Heather let out a giggle aswell as they finished packing up.

As Hiccup finished packing up the supplies Heather put a hand on his shoulder and gently pulled him around to face her "she sounds like a great woman who's son is just as amazing. The apple dosnt fall far from the tree and I bet she would be proud of the person you have become today and what you have accomplished for the archipelago." Heather said with a smile as she gave him a kiss on the cheek and pulled him in for a quick hug.

"Thanks Heather and I'm sure your adoptive parents along with your birth family once they meet you." Hiccup said with a smile as Heather smiled to as they got ready to head back to berk to get ready to start their journey back to the edge.

When Hiccup and Heather were emerging from the forest with Windshear and Toothless Laughing at a story Hiccup was telling her about the twins Stoick was out doing his chiefly duties when he spotted them and started making his way over to them.

"And then Snoutlout went flying and the twins placed a barrel of mud infront of him and he fell right into it and chased them around for about an hour." Hiccup finished with Heather barely able to stand from laughing so much.

"Ah Hiccup there you are I was worried when you didn't arrive home last night and hello to you to Heather." Stoick said as he arrived to where the two were walking

"Oh hey dad sorry we just stayed in the cove for the night since we were tired and didn't want to bother walking or flying back as the dragons were already asleep." Hiccup explained leaving out the part where he told Heather who her birth family was.

Stoick was about to open his mouth to respond when something on Heather's belt caught his eyes attention which Hiccup noticed and immediately knew what he saw it was Heather's horn that he asked him about the day before.

"A word with you two NOW!" stoick bellowed as he pointed toward his house and motioned for them to go to it.

Hiccup rolled his eyes at his father's voice while Heather flinched a bit as the two started walking to his house and she realized to the connection Stoick found and was worried not just for her but what would become of their relationship and what Stoick would do about them lying to him.

Hello its been a while sorry this has taken so long to get out since school started I havnt got alot of time on my hands as this is my last year of school hope you all understand and hope you enjoy the chapter ill keep continuing the next chapter when ever I can and your welcome for the cliff hanger :) and as always feedback and criticism is welcome if you enjoyed leave a vote :)
