Without You

Waking Up

Heather yawned as she stretched rubbing the sleep out of her eyes Heather sat up and stretched her back letting out another yawn as sleeping on a wood floor isent the most comfortable things to sleep on.

"Well I have slept on worse." She said as she got up and went over to the barrel next to Hiccup grabbing a cloth on her way to wash her face.

"Ahh that's much better." She said fully awake, she decided to change the cloth over Hiccup's head Heather took the cloth off his head and dipped it back into the barrel twisting it to get rid of excess water and and draped it back over his head

"That should do for another day before it needs to get changed again." Heather spoke to herself as she went over to the food of the bed to start getting dressed first pulling up her skirt doing up the belt then put her chesplate back on along with her bracers and shoulder pads.

Just as she finished strapping everything together she heard a groan

"Uuughh" Hiccup groaned out slowly opening his eyes Heather rushed to his side "Where am I?" He questioned to no one in particular as his eyes were wondering around until they landed on Heather and he seemed to relax a bit

"Dont worry Hiccup." Heather started "Your on the edge still, your in my hut." She explained

"What happened we were going on the mission to the ship yard and I dont remember anything after taking off." Hiccup questioned

"Well when you took off you weren't looking to well so I stayed behind you to keep an eye one you and a few minutes into the flight I saw you start to sway in your saddle, then you just fell. You really scared us all Hiccup especially me." Heather said in a worried voice grabbing his hand and holding it between both of her hands blushing slightly

"I'm sorry Heather I guess we will just have to do the mission when I am feeling better." Hiccup said with a hint of disappointment in his voice as he layed his head back down.

"About that..." Heather began "They decided to continue along with the mission without you and leave me here to look after you." Heather said looking down at her feet.

"They What!" Hiccup exclaimed "No no no I gotta go after them and help" Hiccup said pushing himself up to a sitting position "They cant do it with out me." Hiccup tried reasoning

"NO." Heather said in a soft but firm voice "Hiccup your in no condition to fight let alone fly." She began
"They are in capable hands Astrids leading them they will be fine, their is no one better to lead them without you besides Astrid." Heather reasoned with Hiccup while slowly lowering him back down to a laying position and gently rested his head back on the pillow

"You know I'm right Hiccup you have gone over this plan with them every morning and every night before the mission they practised every drill given they wont get hurt you and I both know this." Heather finished

"Your right" Hiccup sighed in defeat "Its my job to worry though I'm their leader I cant help but worry." He responded

"Its hard being a leader but part of being a leader is knowing when you arent in condition to lead and right
now you need to rest to be able to lead them when they get back."

"Ya I guess your right besides their isent anything I could do right now they are long gone I assume?" Heather nodded

"Can you do me a favor Heather?" Hiccup asked hopefully

"Of course Hiccup what do you need." Heather said taking hold of Hiccups hand again. This time it was Hiccup's turn to blush.

"Would you go to my hut and get the automatic tail fin I made for Toothless so he can go flying on his own with out me if he wants to?" Hiccup asked Heather
