You tossed and turned in your sheets. The bed rose and dipped back again as you tried to find a comfortable position to lay in. You grew frustrated, deciding to lay on your side and facing the window that gave you a great picture of the white mountains and forest green trees.

This has been going on for three hours now and you couldn't fall asleep at all. You have been laying on the bed, squirming eagerly for a comfortable position to lay in and trying your very best not to wake your boyfriend up. You successfully did so for the past few hours but failed when you finally decided to lay on the position you are in now.

"Y/n?" A raspy voice whispered behind you.

"Charles? Did I wake you up? I'm sorry. Please go back to sleep, love" You said, concern laced in your voice.

An arm encircled your waist and turned you around. You face your boyfriend's sleepy eyes, "Are you alright?"

"I-I'm fine." You said but Charles immediately saw through your lie and so you sighed. "I couldn't sleep."

Charles nodded slightly and traced random shapes on your clothed back with his fingers. Your body started calming down but it wasn't enough. Your boyfriend noticed your still tensed body and pulled away slightly to look down at you.

"Do you need anything to help you sleep?" Charles asked. You shrugged slightly, and he rubbed his hand up and down your forearm. His fingers caused small goosebumps to form on your skin which made you shiver.

"Babe, lay on my chest." He suggested quietly and you obliged desperately. You placed your head on his chest and you instantly heard the soft and calm beating of his heart. A soft smile crossed your face and you placed your arm over his toned stomach.

You are deeply thankful for having Charles as your boyfriend. He knew what you liked and what you didn't. He knew how to keep you calm when you were about to explode. Most importantly, he treated you better than any other guy ever could.

You sighed softly at the touch of his fingertips on the exposed skin of your waist because of your shirt that had risen up. Your other hand patted around the bed in search for his free hand and a vibration flowed through his body as he chuckles. He interlaces his fingers in yours and rubs your knuckles in a comforting manner.

"If you don't mind me asking, why can't you sleep, babe?" Charles asked you in a hushed tone.

You look up from his chest and placed a soft kiss on his jaw, "Honestly?" You started and let out a heavy sigh, "I don't know."

Charles rubbed your temples and it soothed out the frustration that just grew in you. You closed your eyes, sighing and you lay your head back down on his chest. His heart beat calmed you down even more, and he spoke once more, "Whatever it is, I will always be here for you."

He pulled your body closer, and he started humming a tune. His deep voice and the vibrations coming from his chest flowed in your ears. A smile formed in your face and you snuggled closer.

"You know I will always be here for you, right?" He asked.

"I know."

He started running his fingers through your hair and sang your favorite song in a low voice. You felt your body fit perfectly with his and you calmed down.

"Thank you." You said after he finished singing the song.

"No need to thank me, babe. I'm always here for you, always." Charles said as he lifted your face by your chin to face him.

He stared deeply into your y/e/c eyes with his dark brown eyes. He leaned in and placed a soft kiss on your lips to which you smiled instantly."I love you, don't forget that."

"I love you more, baby." You said and he playfully glared at you.

"Not possible." He said and puffed his chest and you giggled at the elevation. You cupped his jaw and placed another soft kiss on his lips.

"I love you." You said once more.

"I love you more, babe. Get some sleep, I'll be right here when you wake up." He smiled at you and you placed your head down in between his shoulder and neck. You breathed in his scent and you felt your eyes drooping.

Charles rubbed your back while you laid on top of him as he thought of what to do for you the next following day to cheer you up. You close your eyes and before you black out, you heard him say, "Y/n Y/l/n, I love you." He pauses for a moment, "Fuck, I am deeply and utterly in love with you. I hope you sleep well because you deserve everything in this whole universe."
