she used to look at her from afar – behind a fragile shield of glass – which protected her. she was fine with that. if anything, she preferred observing her from a distance; it kept her safe, but it was now gone.
as she sat in front of her, she hid behind the mask she wore - one which concealed the real her. she did not care for the judgement from others, but she cared about what she thought of her.
she felt exposed and vulnerable. she shouldn't feel this way. what am i feeling?
