Chapter 9 - Levi And Sam

Matthew Levin

After doing my business in the bathroom, I head back to the still crazed classroom to tell my best friends the news.

"He asked you on a date?!" They all exclaimed a little louder than usual.

"Shush! Too Loud!" I hushed in panic. I looked around the ro to check if somebody did hear it. I sighed in relief when nobody did. The noise in the room kind of blocked it.

"Yes. Kinda. I don't know..." I shrugged in the loss of words.

"Oh my gosh! You probably need some help since this is your first date with Lance!" Lia suggested excitingly.

"Wait, first? But this isn't the first one..." I said.

"Wait, it isn't? When was the first? Why didn't you tell us!?" Casey asked, a little bit angry too.

"I'm sorry! I thought it was a subject not to discuss!" I defended.

"Whatever." Casey rolled her eyes, accepting the truth. "But still, details." She demanded.

"It was last week as I remember, at the grocery store. We kinda bump into each other." I explained and they started laughing. Oh, and if you didn't notice, I skipped the 'egg part' for obvious reasons.

"Bump? Really!? How cliché can you be Matt!?" Lia said between laughs. I just rolled my eyes in response. Good thing I did skip it...

"Wait a sec... Grocery store? Last week? Do you mean Saturday Matt? Right after our night out?" Gio asked, which suprised me.

"Uh, yeah. Exactly." I answered right away, "How did you know?" I asked curiously.

"Lance told me himself when he went home from the grocery store." He explained, "He kinda told me the whole story though..." He added, which made me blush.

"Wait, you knew!?" Casey exclaimed at Gio.

"Tell us what he told you!" Lia demanded. Oh no! Please! Don't! Don't!!

And he did, from the 'eggs' to the car. How unlucky of me.

And top of that, they all laughed. Hard. It kinda draw the attention of some, ok wait, all the students.

"He... did all... of that... just because of your... eggs!?" Casey exclaimed loudly.

"Oh my gosh! That sounded so wrong on so many levels!" They laughed louder, except for Gio, who was looking down. Why is down?

"Guys! Shut the hell up! You're grabbing attention!" I warned, which made them quiet down, well a bit. The other students also went back to their own world.

Well, so much for first period.

Lance Anderson

After the encounter with Matt a while back, I went straight back to my classroom. On the way back, I kept thinking about his reaction about me asking him out. It's not like I have romantic feelings for him. I just want to know the guy more. I admit, he is pretty interesting to know about, so why not?

When I went back to my first period, I went back to my sit and continue with what I'n doing before I left, which is nothing.

I few moments later, my phone vibrated in my pocket. When I checked it, it was from Sam and it read:

I smiled and text back, while hiding it from Mr. Timbers under the desk to avoid being caught.
