1 Month Later

POV: Allison

My first month at Joey Drew Studios has been fun. Susie and I have become very close friends. She praises my cooking every time it comes up. I will never be able to figure out how she survived on her nightmare-fuel cooking skills.

Sammy and I have made incredible progress with the rerecording. Due to Alice Angel being the star, there's still a lot of dialogue that needs to be redone. To my surprise the media actually loves Alice's new voice. My friends keep teasing about the whole thing since it makes me blush.

Something that's been talked about a lot is how Ms. Winter took most of the month off to care for Shay, who got a nasty illness of some sort. Joey ended up ordering her to take a paid leave since none of us could endure how much it tortured Ms. Winter to have to work while Shay was ill.

"French toast!" Susie cheered as she entered the room and sat down. "I love your french toast!"

"You love everything I cook," I remarked.

She shrugged. "True, but your blueberry french toast is my favorite breakfast."

I smirked. "Good thing I'm making it then."

"I am living with a real life angel," she sang, making me laugh.

When we got to the studio, Wally was there to greet us.

"Morning guys, just so you know, Ms. Winter is back." He informed us. "She also wants both of you to meet her in her office."

I frowned. "Why?"

He shrugged. "I don't know. So good luck."

Feeling rather nervous, Susie and I made our way to Ms. Winter's office and entered it. I gasped when I saw her holding an adorable little girl in her arms, who was sound asleep.

"Good morning Ms. Winter." Susie and I said at the same time.

She chuckled at that. "Good morning Ms. Pendle and Ms. Campbell. Please, take a seat."

We did, and I couldn't help but stare at the little girl. "Is that Shay?"

"She is," replied Ms. Winter with a nod. "Looks like she's waking up now."

Shay was stirring when Ms. Winter said that. The toddler let out a small yawn before her eyelids opened, and we got to see her midnight blue eyes. She then looked up and smiled.

"Mama," she uttered.

Susie and I let out a simultaneous reaction to it. "Awwww!"

Ms. Winter ignored us as she smiled warmly at Shay. "Good morning baby," she cooed. "I bet you want your num nums."

Shay simply said, "num nums."

Ms. Winter got out a bottle of milk and fed it to the toddler.

"Looks like she's still on your milk," my friend noted.

The Animation Department's director sighed, and nodded. "She refuses to have anything else. It's a miracle I managed to get her to accept it in a bottle."

"Haven't you tried to give her regular milk?" I asked.

"Actually she did once," Susie said. "Apparently she can tell the difference. She was not happy about that deception."

"In hindsight I really should have tried that at home." Ms. Winter admitted.

I smiled. "It's very sweet of you to take on the responsibility of raising your biological sister," I complimented her. "I say biological sister since it's obvious you've become her mother."
