Hinata pov

Today is the day! My first proper practice match against another school! Nekoma! As soon as my alarm clock began to ring I jumped out of bed and gambled like a newborn deer trying to gather my stuff . Since Nekoma is in Tokyo we are taking the day off school , I wonder if we get to see Tokyo Tower? I sprinted down the stairs and quickly grabbed my bento and my breakfast bagel . I rushed out of the house and clambered on my trusty bike. I raced down the mountain not really paying attention to my surroundings . I pulled up in front of the school gates and placed my bike in the rack and sprinted to the gym. I entered the gym and my eyes fell on Suga and Daichi as well as the coach . I ran up to them smiling .

"Hey Hinata how are you this morning? Excited for your first practice match?" Suga said.

I nodded vigorously. I went and sat on the bench waiting for the rest of the team to arrive. Soon the whole team was laughing and chatting , they were also excited about the match!

"Alright , I have registered you all . So we are going to make our way to the bus now ! It is a fairly long trip so don't get too hyper!" The coach announced.

We all got on the bus and I was next to Bakayama – great!

Time skip – to the team's arrival at Nekoma Gym !

This place is huge! As the team and I got off of the bus we were greeted by a rather large selection of gyms . By this point we were already on the campus. We slowly made our way towards the point were the Nekoma Volleyball team would meet us. As we approached I couldn't help but get déjà vu! A giant chicken man was standing at what I guess was the meeting point? Wait I know him , what was his name – Chikuoo nope , Kuren nope ohhhh Kuroo ! Wait if Kuroo is here does that mean?

"Hello I am Daichi and I am the captain of Karasuno , I hope we can have a good game!"

"Well I am Kuroo of Nekoma and it is nice to meet you"

Then as they were about to shake hands Tanaka pushed forward and started yelling?!

"Do you wanna fight City boys? Huh? Well? City Boys!"

With this Suga was quick to jab him in the ribs and drag him to behind the team , glad I wasn't in Tanaka's shoes! My eyes continued to flick round until I saw him , right at the back holding his mobile phone- Kenma!

I took this opportunity to sneak around the back of Nekoma and , I gave Kenma the biggest hug ever! I felt him jump under me and quickly turn to look at me he relaxed after he saw that it was me.

"Shoyou! It is nice to see you again ! I knew you would be coming!" He said.

I tilted my head at the statement – how did he know I was coming?

"Oh I assume you are wondering how I knew , well your shirt said Karasuno on it and you like volleyball so I put the two together."

I smiled. Then I heard a gasp I look up and see a giant before me ! I cuddle closer to Kenma's chest (which he doesn't mind), I felt a soft patting and rubbing on my back it was Kenma.

I look back up at this giant and he chuckles , I say chuckles I mean laughs , actually I mean guffaw , and really loudly as well. The whole of Nekoma spun around including the captain and Karasuno peered through the large gap in the middle .

"Hinata?!"

"Kenma?!"

Were heard throughout each team . I shy away closer (if that is possible) to Kenma .

"Stop staring you are scaring him" Kenma says in an annoyed voice.

Both teams looked from one to the other , the human tangerine and the monotone pudding haired setter.

"Hinata , do you know him?" Suga asks kindly .

I nodded. I look at my team it is safe to say most of them looked annoyed (Kageyama , Noya , Tanaka) one person looked utterly not fussed (You know who that is) the others looked fairly neutral .

"Get off my precious Kouhai city boy!" Tanaka yelled

Noya nodded in agreement .

"What did you say to our setter?" The Nekoma captain asked icily.

"I said to ..." Tanaka started but was then stopped by Daichi giving him the finish that sentence and your dead look.

"Don't mind him he doesn't know how to hold his tongue especially when the first years are involved" Suga quickly said.

"Hmm fine anyway I have a question how do you two know each other and Kenma you are hugging him?!" Kuroo inquired.

"Well that day I was lost , when you eventually found me I was with someone and Shoyou was that person. So I would appreciate if you weren't so rude towards him" as Kenma said this he drew me even closer to his chest . It was nice to have someone like this!

"Hmph . Very well but please stop hugging him we have a match to win!" Kuroo retaliates.

Both teams then made their way to the gym. They began by stretching and going through their game plan.

I stepped onto the court ready for the match ahead. Our formation was pretty solid but I did feel a tad bit bad for Suga who was replaced in the starting line up by Kageyama.

The match began !

Daichi served the ball and it soared over the net . The game was afoot....

I jumped and flew through the air ..... bang the ball landed beautifully in the court ! Everyone froze for a moment . Then my team surrounded me in crushing hugs. Nekoma was still frozen in shock! That felt good ! The game continued at a fast pace ...

After the game had concluded I ran towards Kenma to be the first to congratulate his win! I leapt into his arms and gave him a crushing hug! I looked up to him and he smiled down at me. This was happiness!

"Good game Shoyou! You played well!"

"Hey Hinata Boke get over here team talk!" Bakayama yelled from across the gym.

I pouted , bowed to Kenma and made my way back to the team . What I failed to notice at this point was the annoyed look on Kenma's face!

I was listening to Daichi when I heard a laugh from Nekoma a loud laugh but it wasn't Lev , it was Kuroo . He was talking to Kenma and it was safe to say Kenma look fairly frustrated! Kuroo then whispered something in Kenma's ear and then Kenma walked straight across the gym and tapped Bakayama on the shoulder?!
