🎶F-R-I-E-N-D-S. We're just friends ~ Anne Marie & Marshmello

A few days later...
A round of applause from the live audience filled the studio as the host, Cree Gonzalo, turned to the nearest camera with a broad smile.
"Bienvenidos de nuevo después de esa breve pausa comercial, todos. If you're just joining us, you've unfortunately missed out on the thrilling conversation we just had with Isabella Moner. Pero no te preocupes, we still have a lot more in store for you. We..."
I crossed my arms, watching everything from a vantage point backstage.
"Hey."
The familiar voice had me turning to find Jax's gaze on my outfit. "Wow, you look great."
"Thanks." I adjusted the brown jacket on my frame, covering a simple white shirt with black jeans and ankle boots. "I know I'm dressed the part, but is it weird that I'm feeling anxious even though this isn't our first TV interview?"
"Uh no," he laughed. "My heart feels like a thumping base drum right now." Jax crossed his arms, making the biceps flex in the muscle t-shirt he was wearing. He always likes to give the girls something to drool over. "But it's normal. It's just a stage thing. We're gonna go out there and we're gonna kill it."
"Definitely," I sucked in a breath.
"Oh good. You guys are back from make-up." Eden joined us, dressed in a striking goth outfit. Her smoky eyes and deep red lipstick, added up to her ensemble, giving off a very mysterious aura. "I just checked up on our instruments. They're ready for our performance after the interview."
"What's up, peeps!" Carlos strolled in our direction, feeling super confident in his outfit. He gave us a twirl in his leather jacket and ripped jeans, then tipped his glasses low to give us a wink.
"I guess we have one less person to worry about feeling anxious," Jax commented and I turned back to Carlos with a grin.
"Why are you wearing sunglasses? It's night time."
"Cuz they make me look cool." He struck a pose.
Eden snorted, "You should see how dumb you look."
A laugh push past my lips, easing my tension. "C'mon, Eden. He looks great. Let Carlos have his--" I paused because my nose had picked up on something quite peculiar. "Hm, what's that smell?"
"My new cologne." Carlos opened up his jacket, making the smell even more profound. "It's called Obsidian Love. Known to attract every female on the planet. Smells good huh?"
Eden's face scrunched up in disgust. "It smells like dog puke."
And just like that, Carlos' confident mood deflated. "Funny, you know what dog puke smells like, Eden. Did you give it a good sniff... like a dog?"
I laughed again, enjoying the banter until Jax cut in.
"Guys, focus! She's introducing us."
"Today, we have a very special band with us," Cree announced in a lively tone. "They're fresh on the scene but already making waves with their unique blend of Afro-Mexican pop music and heartfelt lyrics. Please give a warm welcome to GuiTara and the Stars of the Future!"
The applause grew louder as we walked onto the stage, waving at the audience. I could feel the excitement and nerves buzzing in the air as we took our seats opposite Cree. Carlos sat next to me on the sofa while Eden and Jax occupied the stools behind us.
