I am finally able to ride horses today. I woke up at 6am and took Asahi for a long ride. It felt very nice to be able to gallop through our fields again. We rode down to the river and back, cutting through our woods along the way. The ride took about an hour, but it was magnificent to be riding again.
I have had to continue to help set up the Hall of the Sun today, but we are almost done. Most of the table settings are out, and all of the food tables are waiting for the catering company tomorrow. We have six food tables, two dessert tables, and one bar. An ice sculpture in the shape of a swan is being delivered tomorrow, and that will have it's own table. The floral arrangements are coming tomorrow as well.
After we finish setting up the Hall of the Sun, I am supposed to go and lock the doors to rooms, as well as the wings of Wayne Manor. Our house is divided into the East and the West wings, with the main body of the house in the middle. The whole house is three stories tall. Father, Pennyworth and I sleep on the third floor of the East wing. There is also an attic that runs across the entire length of the house. I am to lock all of the rooms on each floor, as well as the doors that lead into each floor of each wing. The keyring for this house is humongous. It will probably take twenty minutes to lock all of the rooms.
We used to not lock everything so tightly, but people would try to steal things from us, so we started closing off the wings for every party we hosted.
Set up today has consisted of just Father, Pennyworth and I. Grayson had to work, and we decided that we didn't need Kent's help anymore, since we were almost done. They are both coming to the Gala tomorrow, so I will see them then. Since the Gala will end sometime around 3am, Father has asked Jason Todd to wear the Batsuit tomorrow night. There will be no Robin tomorrow. Even though Todd can be a reckless Batman at times, he is the only one who can wear the suit tomorrow night. The general public still believes him to be dead, so no one will suspect anything.
I must go and finish setting up the Hall of the Sun. We shall see how long it takes to lock the 36 doors that must be locked.
That is all.
