Today is the day of the Wayne Family Summer Gala. Even though it is still early, we have been up for hours finishing the preparations. Everything looks very nice. Which is unfortunate because it will all be destroyed tonight.
Tonight is known as one of the wildest parties in the country. Celebrities get thrown in our pool while wearing $30,000 clothes, the ice sculpture will probably get smashed, and something will get stolen. The guests will drink all of our liquor, eat all of our food, and wreck our house. This is one of my least favorite events of our social year.
The party doesn't start until 8pm though, so there is plenty of time to prepare myself.
I need to go and exercise the horses before it gets too hot outside. I've already taken out Asahi and Goldenrod, my Father's mare. Kurotsuki and Hakuhime still need to be exercised. Their names are Japanese for Black Moon and Ice Princess. Kurotsuki is a tall black gelding who has a fiery temperament. He belongs to Father as well, but I usually exercise him. Hakuhime is mine, and she is a snow white mare with a lovely disposition.

I had a nightmare last night. I to ride a horse to get rid of it once I woke up. Kurotsuki and I ran from a nightmare, and I don't think he minded being my escape.
Is it wrong that I try to escape my nightmares? All I want to do is forget them as soon as I wake up, which is why I often ride horses at 3am. Is that wrong? Am I weak for wanting to forget my nightmares? I should take them stoically, and not let them effect me. But I can't. I just can't. I can't forget them, and I can't escape them. Each nightmare is a scar on my mind.
My mind bleeds from its wounds.

But it is no matter. It doesn't matter.

The day will be hot and sticky, with no chance of rain. I know even now that the guests will be jumping into our pool fully clothed. That is the sort of thing that happens at 1am when everyone is stone drunk. I must brace myself.
That is all.
