Chapter 52

NINA

"So like, how many siblings do you have?" Bryan asked, starting a conversation while they walk. They will enter her old pack territory in just a second.

"Well... All in all we are...eight." She answered Looking ahead, Nix was infront of them and Nina could sense that she's tense. Well she couldn't blame her, she herself is nervous about having to see her old pack, she wonders if the houses are still there, if there are still bodies lying on the ground.

"We've already cleared it." Mason said next to her, sensing her questions and doubt, she gave him a smile

"The house is the only thing that hadn't been destroyed. It's still the same." Mason added.

"I would want to take a look at it after this is done." She said holding Bryan's hand and looking up at him.

"We will save him right?" Bryan nodded and he kissed Nina on her lips. Nina suddenly stops walking when she realized something...the green grass had been covered with thick grey ashes and the trees have been burned down. They have finally reach the former territory of Nina's old pack. She looked around and realize...that the place looked...alive, yes even though the ground is covered with ashes, even though the trees have been burned... Little signs of life still could be seen. The place finaly looked at peace.

"Are you alright?" Bryan asked her looking worried. Nina nods her head and smile.

"Yes, i'am alright. It's just this place, have finally looked peaceful. No more crying, no more shouting, no more pain. It's just...another chance at life." Nina said looking around the place.

"Alpha i think we should talk and plan on how to intercept Alpha Adonis." Nix said looking serious,Bryan then nodded his head.

"we need to set our traps. He will be here in no time. We must plan this thoroughly." Nix said looking serious,  Bryan nods her head.

"We will camp here for tonight. Tomorrow we will set the trap at the border between the Cresent pack and this land." Everyone nods there head in agreement before setting down the equipment that they have. The other started to set up their tent while Bryan and Mason talked about the trap that they were going to build.

BRYAN

"We do have a metal cage made of Wolf Bane. We just need to dig a hole where it can fit. Cover it with some dirt. The only problem we have is the bait." Mason said while looking at the cage they he'd build.

"Wolf bane is useless against us when we are under the influence of the curse, it must be covered with magic." Bryan replied, Mason raised his eyebrow.

"Do you perhaps know someone who have magic?" Bryan smirk and pointed Nix.

"That sister of your's a bad chick. She's the one who placed seal on my cage. So we need her to perform her vodoo charm on the cage." Mason scoff and shakes her head.

"Vodoo charm?  Didn't know I have a sister who can use a magic." Mason said smiling. But his smile disappeared when he saw Nina. He turned serious.

"Never thought that Nina would end up with the curse princes. She was the most gentle and shy among all of us. Never been in the spotlight. And now she suddenly become one of the royal consort." Bryan watched as Nina speak with the others, helping with others, she was smilling and as if she has a halo. Nina is glowing, she has the glow she never had before. Bryan then looked at Mason when he grip his shoulder.

"I don't care if you're a prince or what. But if you make her cry, I'll be the one to bring you at Hades feet." Bryan at that moment didn't see a threat, he saw a man, a brother who cares for his sister. Bryan nods her head and squeezed Mason's shouldein assurance.

"You have my word I'll protect her even if it means I die." Mason then laugh heartily and he pats Bryan shoulder.

"If you die then Nina will cry. You can do the protecting without dying. Because if you die, I might have to get you out of Hades realm. I'm not a big fan of stealing souls." After he said that he left Bryan.

"You two seems to get along." Nina said smiling.

"Yeah we sure did." He said kissing her neck but soon stopped when he realized something. Nina smelt different. He didn't recognize the scent. None of their companion possess such smell. A soft hint of vanilla and, lavander.

"My love? Did you change your shampoo or lotion?" He asked her Nina shakes her head.

"No why? Do I smell bad?" She asked him, he was about to answers when Nix called Nina.

"I'll be back." Nina said walking away. Bryan watched her back and noticed the subtle changes in her body.
Bryan's heart beat fast, and unrecognizable feeling bloom deep within him. Could it be?
