before their one year anniversary taehyung and elliana decided that they wanted their parents to meet, so taehyung booked the flight for his mother and here she was in the flesh

"aww taehyungie you look so handsome with black hair," minji ruffles her hair through her son's hair and he sheepishly smiles, "thank you eomma, ellie picked it out for me."

"how was your flight ma'am? you must be exhausted," ellie takes her bags at ease and rolls them to her room before minji could protest

"oh the flight was wonderful and the food was delicious, and actually i'm not tired, i'm pretty anxious to meet your parents tomorrow elliana," it's good to see that minji had good spirits about the parents meeting tomorrow but ellie did not, her mother and minji were two totally different people, her mother was care free whereas minji is more uptight, she will most definitely not be surprised if they get into it

lord know what will happen if ellie's mother finds out what happened in korea

"elise and omar are excited to meet you too eomma, they've heard great things," taehyung reassures his mother and a smile spreads across her face

"well that's wonderful! how about we go ahead off to bed hm? we have a big day tomorrow!"

the couple watches as minji smiles before walking into her bedroom for a good night's rest, and their faces instantly fall

"oh i'm scared shitless tae, what if our moms don't like each other?" ellie's which to say when she's gone and holds on to her boyfriend's shoulders

taehyung grabs ellie's hands and interlocks then with his, "princess i promise you, everything's going to be fine."

the next day...

everything was not fine

the hostess had a little trouble seating the two families and minji had a fit, wanting to talk to the manager and everything but elise was trying to calm her down, then minji threw a fit because everyone else was fine but what she thought they did was totally inappropriate. then elise dragged her daughter to the bathroom and told her,

"that minji woman seems like a total bitch."

so yeah, things weren't going as planned

ellie and taehyung tried their best to get the parents talking, even nari and oliver attempted to help, omar was silent due to his wife not talking and minji just scolded them both

"you don't think those braids are too young for you elisa?" minji asks out of nowhere and ellie cringes, she knows this isn't going to end well

"i'm a grown ass woman and i can decide what i'd like my hair to look like thank you very much. unlike you though, it looks like you've had the same crispy ass hair for centuries, and it's elise not elisa you little spawn." elise responds bitterly as she shoots the woman daggers

"mama!" ellie whines out, she wasn't surprised though honestly, but she didn't expect all this hate going around, they couldn't even try to get along?

many minutes later nobody still hasn't said a word, ellie and taehyung tried to get the parents to talk but it didn't work, even nari and oliver pitched in, it wasn't working.

tears of frustration were soon peaking into ellie's eyes, and taehyung noticed, "princess-"

"how about we just end the dinner now hm? it seems as if you all aren't mature enough to settle down for the sake of tae and i so let's just cut it now, thanks for nothing," ellie gets up out of her seat and quickly wipes her tears before they fall, and taehyung is quick to leave after her, leaving everyone else behind

"you should be ashamed of yourself, you made my babygirl cry," elise says to minji and points her finger at her wickedly, "oh please it's not just my fault, you insulted me first."

"you're the one who's an uptight bitch!"

omar's eyes widen at his wife's statement, elise has had it with minji's bullshit, "you're walking around here thinking you run shit and you're better than everybody else here, you're a selfish ass woman who needs to learn how to humble her damn self, now our babies are in love and they wanted this to go well but you have provoked me and the little respect i have had for you is now gone."

"i'm..i'm so sorry i don't why i'm acting like this i just...envy you," minji admits, "you have a beautiful family, a wonderful son and gorgeous daughter and a loving husband and me? i left my two only children in america and my husband's dead, i'm lonely and i can't help but treat the people around me like shit, i swear it wasn't my intention to insult you, i actually love your hair and actually want to try it out on myself."

elise's eyes soften at the lady, "i know what if feels like to be lonely trust me, and it's okay, all you had to do was explain it, and i'll happily book you an appointment with my stylist," the two ladies giggle at her last comment, "are we okay now..elise?"

"of course we are minji, i hope my little ellie's okay, she's been so emotional lately."

"i've noticed that too, and also her glow! elliana looks great, thank you for creating such a goddess for my taehyungie," minji smiles at elise and she can't but smile back, now that they're finally acquainted she sees that she's actually a lovely woman

"thank you for making taehyung such a gentlemen who actually loves and cares for my baby, her last boyfriend jordan was toxic and didn't care for her at all, and he abused her, i'm glad to see my ellie with a man who loves her."

the ladies and omar chat for a couple of minutes and the waitress actually serves the appetizers with no problem, minji apologizes for her behavior and once again pleases elise, sooner or later elliana and taehyung make their way back to the table, shocked to see what's going on

"is everything okay eomma?" taehyung asks a bit hesitantly, surprised to see everyone getting along, "we're fine taehyungie, we've settled our problems. you and elliana sit down and eat you look famished."

"mama?" ellie asks for clarification and she smiles at her, "everything's fine baby, now eat."

and the rest of the night was filled with laughs and many new memories
