Sophie's POV:
Sophie was late for school. Again. She quickly got out of bed, and rushed over to her unnecessarily large closet. She grabbed the first thing she found. Obviously, it was leggings and a tunic. She put her hair in a high ponytail, skipped the makeup completely, and ran out the door - right into her tall and muscular bodyguard.
"Oof. Sorry Sandor." Sophie turned and fled down the stairs. She heard Sandor calling after her, but she honestly didn't have time for that at the moment. She had Alchemy first period, and she was not going to have detention. Though that would give me some more time with Keefe, she thought. What? Oh no, he really was influencing her.
"Sophie!" Sandor finally reached the bottom, and caught her arm. "Keefe left this for you."
Oh. Everything from the night before came to the front of her mind. She had fallen asleep on Keefe. And she didn't remember ever waking up. Wait, did that mean he carried her-
"Here." Sandor handed her a small piece of paper, covered with Keefe's elegant scrawl.
Hey Foster. Or should I say Ms. Sleepyhead. Anyways, just letting you know that I put you in your bed, so don't freak out. You can't teleport in your sleep. Yet. You never know what tricks the Mysterious Miss F. is hiding... Also you are super cute when you drool in your sleep, did you know that? See you at school.
Keefe
P.S Don't forget to brush your hair.
What? She drooled in her sleep? (I had to sneak some percabeth into here) Sandor snickered at her horrified expression. He must've read it before her. Ugh, she was in for a real treat today. Wait, she forgot to brush her hair. Wow, Keefe knew her better than she knew herself.

Sophie practically jumped out of the leap master and sprinted towards Foxfire. She arrived just in time for Magnate Leto's morning announcements.
"Students of Foxfire, today I have a special announcement. Foxfire will be holding an annual ball for level four's and up."
Sophie groaned. She was a level four, which meant Biana and Edaline would probably force her to go. She would have to find a way to ditch it. Magnate Leto continued.
"You may ask someone form a different level, if you wish. The ball will be held two weeks from today."
Sophie sucked in a breath. That would be a week and 2 days after spying on the Neverseen. Assuming she lived that long, and wasn't captured in the process.
"Please refrain from throwing splotchers at the ceiling this time."
Keefe snorted beside Sophie, and she suspected he had had something to do with that particular incident.
"You are all dismissed."
The crowd dispersed, and Sophie made her way over to her locker. But she was interrupted by the sound of her friends Tam and Biana. She didn't mean to eavesdrop, she was just right there.
"Would you go to the ball with me?" Tam asked Biana shyly. Wow, Tam really did have a soft side. Sophie had heard it from Biana, but she had never seen it herself.
"Of course! Eeeee, we have to have matching outfits!!" Biana squealed and Sophie smiled as she heard Tam whisper something that sounded like "Ugh, I should've anticipated this.."
As Sophie walked to her first lesson, she thought about the ball. Did she really want to skip it? There was a part of her that wished she had someone who would ask her, but she knew that it would never happen. She sighed, and continued down the hall.

The rest of her morning was a blur, until she went to study hall. She sat down at a free table, and not two minutes later, Biana appeared next to her.
"Have you heard?" Biana whispered, but not too quietly. Several heads turned towards them.
"Shh. What, you and Tam? The ultimate Tiana?" Sophie gave her friend the look. "Please, it's all over the school."
"Wait, are you serious?" Biana had actually believed her. "Ugh, I knew I shouldn't have told Keefe."
"Okay one, I was joking. No one knows. I only knew because I kind of heard when he asked you out. Two, why would you tell Keefe? We both know he'll use that against you and blackmail or something."
"You were there? Never mind. I had to tell Keefe. He's the next thing I have to a good brother." She rolled her eyes. Clearly, Fitz hadn't changed his attitude from the day before.
"I'm so sorry about how I acted towards him." Sophie took one of Biana's hands.
"Psh. Don't be. He totally deserved that. And he's still being a jerk." Biana looked Sophie in the eyes, and she could tell that her friend wasn't lying.
"Okay. Well let's get back to you and Tam." Sophie wiggled her eyebrows.
"It's honestly not that big of a deal. We've only been on 3 dates so far. He took me to a fancy restaurant in Atlantis the first time. We had a picnic the second time, and he took me shopping the third time." Biana claimed it wasn't a big deal, but Sophie could see her friend's eyes turn dreamy when she talked about Tam.
And Biana continued. "Did you know he does really good hairstyles? He braided my hair into a really complicated swirl last week. I couldn't figure it out, but he made it look easy!"
"Huh, I guess Keefe has a rival now." Sophie thought of 'The Hair' that Keefe spent hours styling every day.
"Ooh, thinking about Keefe, are we? You should ask him to the ball." Sophie could already see Biana planning their wedding.
"Who should Foster ask to the ball?" Keefe came and sat down across from the two girls.
Sophie shot Biana a glare, and thankfully, she got the message.
"Oh, some random 4th year who is totally in love with her, right Soph?"
Sophie gulped. She was not good at lying. "Umm, yeah, that's it."
Keefe said, "Well, I have something to ask you first."
