"I can't wait for the party tonight. It's going to be awesome. There's going to be a lot of truth or dare, dancing, drinking-" Lauren smiles to herself. "It's just gonna be awesome." Normani nods her head. "I bet it will...why am I here again?" Normani asked as the two were setting Lauren's living room for the gathering. Putting the delicate and valuable items away someplace safe because Lauren's parents are out of town and left her their condo for the week. Lauren had to take the opportunity to throw a house party but had to make sure nothing was demolished so her parents wouldn't know. Her neighbors were hardly home so they weren't a problem.

"Because I needed my girl to help me pull off the best party yet. So come on. The place is ready but we aren't. They'll be here any minute so we need to get ready like right now." Lauren mumbled standing back analyzing how the living room looked. Normani did the same. They put some LED lights up, the room was currently blue. Then they had a surround sound ready to play music from Lauren's Apple laptop. It was filled with random music but some that people requested to hear at the party. "1-10?" Lauren asked wanting to know how the living room looked. "Hmph, a strong 9. It's just missing people." Normani said with a nod. "But I don't want to be one so I'll catch you later," Normani said strolling over to her bag on the couch. "Oh come on. Mani, you never want to party with me..." Lauren let out with a whine.

Normani turns and glanced at Lauren who pouted. She sighs. "Lauren, you know partying isn't my thing. I'll rather be at home watching 'You' on Netflix." Normani said crossing her arms. Lauren groans. "But mani...this is our last year of high school. The time where all we do is live our best lives. Plus..your crush will be here." Lauren said with a smirk. Normani's eyes widened. "Wait what!?"

"Lauren! Why did you invite her!? Is that the real reason why you want me to stay? Cause you invited her over here?" Normani asked as she clenched her teeth. Lauren rolls her eyes. "It's not the only reason you drama queen. I invited you to have fun for once and plus I was handing out invitations and just so happened to stumble upon her so I gave her one." Lauren admits shrugging her shoulders. "But you are overreacting. If it makes you feel better I invited my crush." Lauren confessed crossing her arms before her green eyes glanced at the wall clock seeing 7:35 p.m. "No, it doesn't make me feel better, Lauren. I don't have anything to wear, I don't wanna embarrass myself in front of the most beautiful girl in school..." Normani mumbled with a sigh. "You won't. Okay? Now let's go get ready. I got you covered. Besides, the party is starting in 20 minutes."

After spending approximately 15 minutes getting their makeup done and getting dressed, people began pulling up to the house and parking in front of the house and in the driveway. Lauren inspections outside. "They're here!" Before Normani could react, Lauren already jogged out the room, down the hallway, and to the front door. But the music! Lauren instantly sprinted to her laptop and pressed shuffle as "Like That" by Doja Cat & Gucci Mane. Lauren welcomed everyone in and the party started.

The party was going well but Normani was standing on the wall. Partying just wasn't her element. She watched as many people were drinking, dancing alone or on someone, smoking weed, and eating some snacks. Lauren was hitting it off with this girl name Kiana. Kiana was the head cheerleader and she's always had a thing for Lauren. Normani huffed as she crossed her arms when a tall caramel girl with brunette hair walked through the door. Normani looked over and her jaw almost dropped. It was Dinah.

Dinah looks around and catches Mani's eyes. Normani quickly looks away as her cheeks began burning up. They've never met eyes. It was always just Normani looking while Dinah would be against her locker listening to music or reading a novel.

When dinah did the unspeakable thing. . .
