I still get jealous

It was a beautiful day to be at the park. There weren't many clouds in the sky, it was warm outside. Parents and their children were in the park as the kids ran around having the time of their lives. It made Normani smile. Going to the park for most kids was everything. Going down the slide, swinging, showing off on the monkey bars, playing tag or even hide and seek, and just meeting new friends from different neighborhoods/backgrounds. It was one of the best places where kids could be and have fun.

Normani and her little cousin, Justice, walked through the park gates. Before Justice could take off towards the playset, Normani placed her hand on her shoulder. Justice looks up at Normani who looks down at her their brown eyes meeting. "I want you to have fun, but please be safe and if anyone is messing with you-" Normani started informing her when Justice spoke up. "make sure I come and tell you. I also should not talk to strangers or leave with them at any cost." The 7-year-old said. Normani smiles and nods her head before kissing her forehead. "That's right. Now go ahead and play." Normani said as Justice smiles as she rushed away from Normani's side and onto the playground with the others. Normani looks around for a park bench that would give her the perfect view of Justice when she saw a young black man sitting on a bench to the side reading a book but now and then, he would look up to the sweet voice calling out to him. "Uncle Zain! Watch this!" Chris, who was 8 years old, called out as he began to do the monkey bars. Zain watched his nephew with a smile as he nodded his head when the little boy was finished. "That was pretty cool!" Zain said as Chris chuckled rushing towards the stairs leading to the slide. Justice was playing with the pirate wheel pretending to steer the pretend pirate ship. Normani walks over to Zain. "Hey.." Normani started as Zain looked up at her. In his head, he started speaking to himself "gah damn...she's fine as hell." While normani asked if she could sit beside him. "May I sit here?" She raised a question. He nods his head. "Of course, go ahead," Zain said with a smile. Normani sits down as she glanced towards the playground again. Her eyes inspecting for Justice. Justice was on the swings with two other kids.

Meanwhile. . .

Dinah just left the store that was down the street. She was on snack duty for the three of them. You can't go to the park without something to drink and eat. For Justice, Dinah got her some Cheeto puffs with a watermelon-flavored Arizona. For Mani, she got her some hot fries with a sprite. For herself, she also got some hot fries with a sprite. After paying for the stuff, Dinah waved at the cashier before walking out of the store walking towards the park that wasn't far. She looked around at the kids running around, people on their blocks playing basketball, or just standing around vibing to their music. She smiled as she got to park making her way to the gates when she spotted Mani sitting next to this guy. By the look in his eyes, he was checking her out. Dinah knows that Normani is a very attractive young lady but Mani was hers. So she walked through the gates and made her way over to the two. Chris then joined Justice on the swings. "I bet I can go higher than you!" He challenged Justice. "Nu-uh!" Justice replied as they began to see who go higher than the other. "Thanks for letting me sit here," Normani said looking over at Zain who flashed her a smile showing off his pearly whites. Dinah made a face. "Did he just flash a smile at my baby? Oh hell Nah!" she shouts in her head as she started walking faster towards the two.  "No problem. I'm Zain. And you are?" He asked looking at her. "My name is-" Normani began but Dinah appeared and spoke for her. "Mine. Her name is mine." Dinah said as Zain looked up at Dinah who flashed him a fake smile. Normani sighs shaking her head. "Dinah..." Mani mumbles. "My mad," Zain said. "Come on Mani," Dinah said as she started walking to another bench. Mani rolled her eyes and got up before heading over to the bench Dinah was on. "Really? We weren't even talking about anything. He just let me sit beside him so I could watch over Justice." Mani explained. Dinah took out her sprite. "Mhm," she mumbled opening her sprite. "You have to stop getting jealous so quickly. It's not like I was flirting with him." Normani said crossing her arms. "If you want to go back over there you can. At this point, I don't care." Dinah said taking a sip of her cold beverage. Normani looked at Dinah. "Are you being serious right now? Dinah cut the crap." Normani says to Dinah who only ignored her grabbing her chips out of the bag and then getting up walking away from Mani. Normani watched her and groans. Running her hand through her hair turning her attention back to Justice.

Normani hates that Dinah tends to get jealous whenever she's talking to another female or a male. It doesn't matter if they said one word to each other, Dinah would flip out no matter what. Normani didn't want anyone else. She knew who she wanted and that was Dinah Jane Hansen. For Dinah, she just felt like one-day Normani would find someone better than her, and then she'll get replaced. She tries not to flip out but she doesn't want to lose Normani. They've been through a lot together...Mani was someone Dinah saw herself proposing to. It's just the thought of losing her to someone else. She lets that get in the way every time Mani is chatting with someone. Who wouldn't fall in love with Mani? She's beautiful, talented, has an amazing personality, her smile is everything and her laughs/giggles will give you butterflies. Normani was one of a kind and Dinah didn't want to share her with anyone. Dinah sighs and shakes her head. "Come on D. This won't do anything but push her away. Get it together." She said giving herself a pep talk. Before walking back into the park and sitting beside Mani again. "Sorry.." Dinah mumbled softly. "It's fine don't worry about it," Normani said.

{ that's all folks. a certain someone was annoying me about not posting so here's this. I've been trying to update my one-shots but sometimes I'm not motivated enough or I have something but don't think you guys will like it. Which leads me to delete them. :( }
